What's firefox?
What's Spread Firefox?

Am I missing something important from my life by not knowing?

Firefox is a great browser, team Spread Firefox is a team, which you can check out, if you click on Dan's profile or account and follow the link to his team. I use Mozilla Firefox myself, and it's the best browser with less security problems as Internet Explorer.

If you want to join a team, you can look in the Teammember recruiting thread, where different teams have introduced themselves. You might look at my own team The Final Front Ear! :-D

Wow! You've opened a whole new world for me! Once upon a time when I was web editor I used to have Netscape but I guess Firefox must have been developed since then. I have down loaded it as commanded and am now using it. (I'm very suggestible that way)

The forum looks a bit odd though. The Author table cells have gone all big and spread out. Perhaps that's what the Spread Firefox message is about? I'll take a gander at the source code..ho hum

[Edit] Cool, you don't get that in explorer. All the source code is in pretty colours like in Dreamweaver so you can see it better. And the table cells are only a little bit spread out really so I'll guess I'll get used to it.[/Edit]

Existential crisis aborted.

Thanks Fuzzy. I will consider The Final Front Ear, you seem like a sensible lot.

Perhaps I will join Spread Firefox so Dan can have at least one teammember to talk to...

Tried Firefox and it screwed up/corrupted my WMP. And if that wasn't bad enough, it also messed with IE. Thanks, but no thanks.

But just to let you know, the sore nuts at The Final Front Ear can feel your pain.

I've tried FireFox, it is no better than IE and the scrolling sucks when using the up and down arrows. I think it is mostly for people who are anti MS. I also tried it on Linux and the install crashed. NOT impressed!

Why would you even care that Firefox screws with IE. I DON'T use Indecent Exposure for ANYTHING. Firefox can screw with it all it wants for all I care. I have never had a problem with Firefox and Winblows Media Player.... >:-) (-:<

I have an intermittant problem with FF when trying to connect to a website. It'll get stuck on "looking up www.###.com" Opening up a new tab or window wont help. I'd have to shut down the browser and start fresh. When this is going on I have no problems connecting thru IE.

Another thing of FF I don't like is the "send image" which only sends a link to the image.

Later,

If you say that Firefox is no better than Indecent Exposure, then you haven't used Firefox. Firefox is better than IE hands down. It, and Mozilla have had tabs for quite some time, among other features, that Imminent Explosion doesn't. I use both, Mozilla on my FreeBSD box and Firefox on my XP box. M$ is now copying the good browsers and adding tabs to IE. M$ [read: Bill Gates] can't stand that someone has software better than their own. Look what they did to Netscape.... By making it so that removing IE cripples Winblows, is not the way to make ANYTHING better. All they accomplished there was to make Winblows even worse than it already was.

since no one on my team (besides me) seems to be available to join this conversation...i might add that FIREFOX is very customizable...you can make it look what you want it to look like...with a wide variety of cool themes to choose from...and you can add a wide variety of useful extensions too...while IE remains the plain old, same old...FIREFOX 1.5 IS COMING SOON!...and it promises to make a good thing even better.

And what happens when enough people use Firefox? Hackers will start to exploit it so what's the difference.
