-When you don't like someone's attitude as it differs from your own, you don't put him/her on ignore, no you complain to the hierarchy above the moderators.
-When a moderator deletes your post. while you fully know why, you complain to the hierarchy above the moderators.

One of these days that hierarachy above the moderators is getting so sick of everything, that they take down this forum.

If you have a problem, email us at setimods where we will help you. Don't email David or Matt as both of them are trying to get the Seti frontpage to show what all the rest outside your little world of the Cafe wants to see: Mapviews, Best candidate, Better explanations, Photos of the team.

All of you want to make such a big fuss about the Cafe? Go ahead. Half of those posting here no longer crunch for Seti, yet they still have the highest word on how things should run. Why don't you request to be moderator then? If you think you can make it better, by all means, go ahead and make it better.

But with the present day attitude of "I'll do what I want, frick the rest", this forum will be empty within a couple of months. I hope you will be happy then as you, whoever comes out as the winner, will have won over everyone else.

Anyway, as I said..
I am taking my big step back from out of here. I'll still check in now and then, check for the bad 4+ letter words and delete posts and threads that have them. If you don't understand what PG-13 stands for, then look it up.

Um, I just want to address the highlighted point with you Ageless, since you raised it with me on these forums a week or so ago. As I told you then, I've had difficulties with Boinc that my teammates and I were unable to fix.

I've solved that now (finally!), and I'm happily crunching away at 100% CPUs. :-)

As for asking to be a moderator: I certainly know how to do the job, I've done it before. But at this point in time, I would have to recuse myself in too many cases to be of much help.

I don't agree that if we participants dislike your decisions that we should not appeal to a higher level. That would leave you with absolute control.

If this practice is so widespread, wouldn't it be more constructive to find out why posters feel the need to talk to the hierarchy above the moderators instead of a blanket condemnation?
