| Although the prospect of face-to-face contact seems prohibitive, the possibility of there being mutual contact between ourselves and another sentient race, or even just our knowledge of their existance, would be the greatest discovery in Human history. That alone makes this a worthwhile project, in addition to the fringe applications of wide-area networking for a common cause. The space program's fringe benefits show up again! |
