If you've seen the old series, prepare for a big change. ;)

In the UK we had a four-part mini series to start which I missed. I did watch the first full-length series and it was a little confusing trying to work out why somebody could be on a planet surface and on the battlestar at the same time.

Fortunatley I caught a repeat of the mini series after series one had ended that put me straight. We are currently receiving series two. All that secret alcohol drinking remains me of a certain politcal party leader in the UK who had to quit recently because he was an alocholic.

I didn't see any of the previous series, but this series is fantastic! It's got handsome guys, beautiful girls, scary robots. It has complicated storylines, edge-of-the-seat drama, and wonderful characters. It's way better than the usual drivel that comes out of Hollywood.

Wasn't there a fuss because they had girls playing boys, or something?

I wish this TV series was aired here in Norway too... Seems I have to buy it on DVD, but these season boxes costs the shirt and then some! About $130 per box... :(

The first season aired in the UK before it aired here. The network there bundled the episodes up on DVD which I was able to get ahold of halfway thru the first season here. So I saw many episodes in advance. :)

Lucky bastard. I see that play.com has these on sale now. So much worse there's an echo in my bank account...

That sounds pretty expensive. I'm also a big fan of the show.

You COULD try getting it by OTHER means (LimeWire, Morpheus). Not that I'm encouraging it of course.

Try Azureus, its designed for larger files.

Then try Mininova or Torrent Spy for the Battlestar Galactica files.

Thanks for the links. I tried it, and it works, but too slow. I get less than 500 B/s - that's BYTES per second. To download a large file, it'd take weeks with that speed...

Technically it may work (sometime), but not morally (for me).

Once Starbuck had SRS, I quit watching. Gee, that was the first episode.

Oh yeah...Number 6= Seven of Nine...same insulting formula to get the horny little teenage boys to watch an artistically bankrupt series.

Yes, the new BSG has some things in it I wish the original series would've had, and no, it's not "greaT SFX". If that and big busted women are what defines a good tv show, then to go any further would be a waste of everyone's time.

Try movies like Forbidden Planet, or Metropolis, Citizen Kane if you want to see good stuff that makes you think., If all you want is eye candy devoid of story or plot, watch the new BSG. Too much was changed; it really doesn'tresemble the original at all, why not have named it something completely different?

We've just started season two here. I've not really watched it, but my 10 year old loves it.

Edit ~ He also tells me that he hasn't seen any women with big breasts in it, he assures me there is no sex in it although there are some rude words. He likes the battles in it and thinks the Cylons are cool.

it speeds up after a while, best to set it going and leave it in the background
