I re-created this thread since #XIX got too large for the dial-up users. Enjoy.... :)

SETI/BOINC MILESTONE THREAD GUIDELINES:

    01. Please do not post any embedded images. If you must include an image in your post, for illustrative purposes, create a link to it. No thumbnails either, please. Stats images are allowed in signatures only.
    02. While quoting a post with a very long broken URL in it, fix it if you know BBCode, otherwise delete it or place spaces in it to break it up so it will wrap properly.
    03. While making a post, with a long URL, use a small link name. An option, if you have no control over the url, is to use http://tinyurl.com/ to create a new "tiny" link.
    04. Please do not use obscene language and/or threaten other participants. Moderators may delete such messages.

HINTS FOR DIALUP USERS:

You can update your preferences in your account. Edit your "Forum preferences":

    01. Set "Show images as links". This will also create a link for images in signatures, but will not hide avatars.
    02. Set "Hide avatar images". All you will see is the username and stats.
    03. Set "Hide signatures". Some signatures have useful information, links to related sites and such and witty quotes. If you set this, there will be no signatures displayed. ( See #1 in this section)

I think 20 is a pretty good milestone for you. Keep making this thread happen.

I passed the million milestone in Boinc totals today.

I was using the original seti from 2001 then got away from it and didnt install boinc until 2008. I was a set and forget cruncher and the first Boinc I installed only crunched a few units until I looked again in the spring of 2009. So my first Million is really from the last year. All of them done on 4 Dual Core CPU's. Have not ventured into the GPU crunching Yet.

My SETI odometer hit 1,000,000 credits this evening. If my math is correct, it took 10 years, 9 months, and 21 days to finally make it to this milestone. If nothing else, it shows that persistence eventually pays off. And now, on to the next million!!!

Last time I posted here was to celebrate my first Boinc million I think.

100,000,000 plus now, but not too much in Seti lately.

Excuse me if I brag a little further. I was the 96th person in BOINC to get 100,000,000 - a milestone which will never change no matter how many more achieve 100,000,000. Congratulations all 100 million 'stoners.

Thank you.
