SETI/BOINC MILESTONE THREAD GUIDELINES:

01. You must be a current, active participant in the science of this project to post milestone messages.
02. This thread is for announcements of milestones for any BOINC project.
03. This thread will allow helping new users only if related to SETI/BOINC.
04. This thread will not allow milestones not related to SETI/BOINC or other BOINC projects.
05. This thread will not allow flaming any other users. [See this thread.]
06. This thread will not allow any profanity.
07. This thread will not allow 'stretching': no imbedded images and while quoting a post with a very long URL in it, fix it if you know BBCode, otherwise delete it or place spaces in it to break it up so it will wrap properly. Another option is to use http://tinyurl.com/ to create a new link. If you must include an image in your post, create a link to it, no thumbnails. Images in signature are allowed.

HINTS FOR DIALUP USERS:

You can update your preferences in your account. Edit your "Forum preferences":

01. Set "Show images as links". This will also create a link for images in signatures, but will not hide avatars.
02. Set "Hide avatar images". All you will see is the username and stats.
03. Set "Hide signatures". Some signatures have useful information, links to related sites and such and witty quotes. If you set #1 above, you will still see the information, but any images would be loaded as a link. If you set this, there will be no signatures displayed.

This new thread replaces: [VII], [VI], [V], [IV], [III], [II], [I], [Beta].

Just got 170k BOINC overall :) The last few credits needed to reach it was a bit of a struggle with the recent boot problems I had *lol*

Just passed 500,000 Cobblestones total BOINC credits, also passed 200,000 Rosetta credits, approaching 50,000 credits in QMC and 60,000 in RALPH. Will take a bit longer to get to 60,000 credits in SETI.

Just passed 100,000 Boinc/Seti credits on my home computer, 140,000+ with my work unit added too. Plus the 6,485 units of the original Seti@Home...Keep on crunching...we have to be getting close to some signal from somewhere.

Just passed 800,000. Not bad for just over a year.

Just plugging away here in the UK. Over 75k so far ... just need to persuade the wife that a shiny new Core Duo is an essential for maintaining life as we know it. Not come up with a good reason yet, but am still working on it!

Looking forward to hitting 100k ... may be some time!!
