Oh no the mosquitoes have switched from a day to a night time species!
Help!!!!
I don't mind them so much except for the little machine guns they carry on their sides.

be glad you don't have tinitus. You'd be hearing crickets day and night. Luckily my GPU is very loud and provides adequate white noise to sleep by

I've had one of these for several years, and they work fantastic! I kill mosquitoes by the tens of thousands. I also have one of these also. It requires no bait other than a swinging black ball, and almost completely rid my yard of deer flys and horse flys. Finally I found a way to fight back!

The mosquito aircraft was made out of wood. I had an Electrical Engineering professor-Griswald at the Citadel who worked out the tensor stress analysis for the airframe. During the war he was escorted and was transported via limo due to his importance.

Griswald taught us tensor analysis and the science of circuits and electrical measurements.

We have a mosquito abatement district out here. They do a pretty good job. I don't seem more than a handful of mosquitoes a year. They seem to know every pond and puddle in the county and are always checking for mosquito fish. That's our main solution, fish that eat them in the larval stage.

We get a problem with fruit flies.

Why? Have they turned to eating vegetables?

We refer to those as No-See-Um's. There are more further south than there are here in New Hampshire, but when you do see them, they are about half the size of a pin head. I hate parasitic insects! Those traps I mentioned earlier do a wonderful job of eliminating them.

I have a nice back deck, where I love to hang out. Before I bought a mosquito magnet, I couldn't even enjoy my own deck. When I was cooking, I would have to go downstairs, through the basement, and out through the garage. I would then climb the stairs to the deck, swatting hundreds of mosquitoes every step. I would flip the burgers or steak, and retreat the same way I came as fast as possible. This kept the little buggers from swarming into the house, but I couldn't enjoy my deck. The first night I had a mosquito magnet, I watched from inside as one, then ten, then hundreds of mosquitoes were caught by the machine. In the morning I had caught well over 10,000. The next night I was outside on my deck with short sleeves until after 10:00 PM for the first time ever in the summer. No matter what it costs, I will never be without one of those machines ever again.

The same is true for the horse and deer fly trap. I used to be attacked by platoons of deer flies every time I did yard work. I deployed the device, and it killed thousands of them. Now I may see only a few deer flies the whole season. Fighting back against parasitic insects is a real joy! I can use my deck, and my entire back yard.

Oh, I did not know you had them so far south. I can remember when as a child I could not even open my mouth for fear the bugs would fly in there. None here yet this year, I'll just wait an hour or so.(LOL)

Actually, it was at de Havviland Canada in Downsview, now part of Bombardier. Parts were made by dozens of furniture and carriage shops across Ontario.

But back on topic...

Never mind the mosquitos. What you really have to worrry about is the black fly. The little black fly....
