Message 586118 - Posted: 13 Jun 2007, 3:13:00 UTC - in response to Message 586107.

Why do you people insist upon dragging my threads off topic!?!?!?

[edit] If, per chance, you are attempting to drive me away from here, forget it. I'm here for the long haul! :) [/edit]

I'm not trying to drive anybody away from here. This is the cafe, people tend to chat off topic. I do it a lot, don't take it personally.

We're working with him on this, Siran, but his 12 step recovery program is going to take a long time and it will be a grueling process. :)

If this works, Siran, please let us know, and do not forget to say thank you to Misfit.

He did in his own special way.
And, Misfit, can we see a lot more of you being like this? :)

$how me the money.

LOL Admit it! You can be quite the hero when you put your mind to it.

I don't think it's right to rant about the software another boinc-related system runs. I do believe it's best left to the Boinc Boards...it's software related---not Cafe related but that's my opinion. :)

Life goes on....

As there is only one URL address to the forum I'd like to know what link he used instead. I love super secret links. And hotlinks for breakfast.

Trade stories with other SETI@home users

Actually, almost everything in here is not appropriate. It says share "stories." I, Vroomfondel, now demand all posts be in the form of a story. However, it does not say they have to be stories about SETI. :)

Reminiscing about the way things 'should be', are we? ;)

No, it's Star Trek, so isn't that the way things will be? ( Siran, jump in on this one! :) )

LOL!

The judge made me take a six week anger management class. The only thing it did was to piss me off even more. I'm getting angry just thinking about it!!

Anger managment classes are not designed to not make you angry, they are designed to help you find a way to focus that anger or use it in ways that help you instead of being destructive. Sometimes we are destructive to ourselves, sometimes to property and sometimes to others including the ones we love. Classes just help channel that anger into other outlets. Like learning how to skip rocks instead of physically hitting something, Throw that rock as hard as you want, if you don't throw it right it won't skip. You are now redirecting that anger into that darn rock and by focusing on trying to make it skip, you are calming down. So go ahead and be mad, it is allowed!

Hey, now. It's not my fault that I like to listen to my car stereo with the volume REALLY high.

Same with my home stereo. I like to feel the usic rather than just listen to it. :-)

It's absolutely the best way.

I will probably be almost completely deaf before I turn 60, but that is my own problem....lol

Well, I guess I'm not going to Michigan any time soon. ;)

Really, I have never liked loud music, let alone the noise they put out today and call it music. I have a new neighbor that plays his noise so loud that with my TV's volumn at 100%, I still hear his noise over my TV. :(
