(sorry, couldn't manage a sulk there, just a subtle air of menace.)

Ah, it ain't the thread so much, I just wish I hadn't drank all that cough syrup this morning...

Coughing? I'd worry more about that wheezing sound you make every breath, Darth Vader.

This seems to be the only thread in which I now feel at home.
I have nothing in common with the "Shunned' thread and shall not visit there.
I do not see the point of it (either the thread OR visiting it). Most of the other threads
are equally banal.
So I shall probably just do what Mrs Anon has already done.
Until the Moderators and the Administrators take a grip of this Forum, and expel the several
examples of low-life that post here, it will continue to be infested with no-brainers - exactly
the sorts of people who have recently wreaked such havoc in it.
I have nothing in common with such people ... and so I will allow myself to wither off the vine.
There is a possibility I shall look in every so often to see if the level of debate here has been
raised to the point where it might be worthwhile returning.
I do not hold my breath.

*sighs* Awww Bodley, I'm sorry to see you so distressed. Rocky's Cafe is up and running again (CA's back to keep it thriving), and I think the Shunners Club is a practical idea, it'll likely keep the people you don't like coversing with off the rest of the forums by providing them some pleasant company in the thread itself. If it doesn't have that effect, I'll close it down. It's been a rough week, but life's not all that grim around here. Give it a bit of time.

It's your turn to pick a word on Bodley's, btw.

It's not the wheezing sound so much, I just wish the cancer hadn't eaten so much of my lungs this morning...

I'm sulking because Angus seems like such a waste of carbon.

Wow we agree on something! And no I won't marry you.

Woah! Calm down! Why are you bringing up marriage? Please try to keep your own tormented inner dialogue to yourself.

Because you bought me a ring and then turned around and sued me for child support.

I reccomend King Solomon's solution: Cut the baby in half and pay only half the child support.

My next sulk will be when Barry Bonds hits his next homerun and ties Babe Ruth's old record. Wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Well, it didn't happen. Save it up for next year.

I'm sulking because I have to wait until tomorrow for our new helicopter to show up. I'm also sulking because of this:

I'm going to sulk because a nearby school system has a bunch of DO (no)GOODERS voting on whether or not to ban the Harry Potter books from the school system because they promote witchcraft.

I wonder if Wizard of Oz, Sleeping Beauty, all the Grimm's tales should also be removed. Or hey, what about the Narnia books....or any book whatever that mentions a character attending church as those obviously are promotive of christianity.

I once tried to get the Bible (both Testaments) banned because it promoted slavery, capital punishment for minor offenses, and suppressed women's rights.

I also found out that being burnt at the stake isn't quite as pleasant as a burnt steak at a BBQ...

I'd like to be on one of those school boards hearing these atavistic medievalist mind mushed mystics petition for some kind of ban like that.

I'd make a passionate long winded speech in their favor, praising their goal of eliminating such irrational garbage in the schools that is so clearly opposed to right thinking individuals SUCH AS THEMSELVES. I'd lather it up so thick like a born again southern preacher and just as they were standing up and applauding my obviously righteous and holy zeal I'd ask for quiet. I'd explain that their aim is so worthy that I will amend their petition and ban the following in my desire to support them.

Bibles
Any mention of churches, synagogues, mosques, whatever.
books containing art showing any religious work
Photos and illustrations of great cathedrals
History referencing the pope and all events involving the church in any way.
Moral tales with any reference to fairy godmothers etc
...............you get the idea.

We'd have us a good old fashioned book BBQ.

I'm sulking (and pissed off) because a 20 minute drive from my office to our distribution centre took 1.5hrs due to a truck accident on the freeway and I didn't find out about it until after I passed the last exit before the accident and saw the banked up traffic. It then took 1hr and 20min to travel the next 10kms. Three hrs later on the way back to the office the freeway going the other way was slow because people were slowing down to gawk at it......

Anyway it's now 4:45pm on Friday and it's POEITS day! The weekend has begun! L8R suckers.

Live long and crunch.

She can keep the kid, I'll pawn the ring, we are even.

Uh oh..too late, I put the kids on the plane this morning. You can pick them up form the airport at 7:06 pm tonight. KLM flight 6185, terminal L.
They were so excited when I told them they were going to live in America. Don't worry, the little one doesn't wet the bed everynight.

(Besides, that ring cost me $12.99 from Walmart on special. I want it back.)
