The Dune prequels are written by Frank Herbert's son Brian and Kevin J. Anderson. I never read any of the other Dune books because the first one was so good I felt sure the other's would be a disappointment. I couldn't bring my self to read them. @Misfit: I did read all the dragonlance series when I was a teenager.. I probably still have them all somewhere. They were good fun. They could have been called Coronation Street in a Space Desert or All My Children in a Space Desert and it would have been the same thing. today i heard carl sagan had a son, who has written a sci-fi trilogy - just wondering if anyone has read them - if so what did you think? apparently he also wrote a screenplay for a great short sci-fi book 'ender's game', but as far as i know it's never been made. anyone know anything about that? people demand freedom of speech as a compensation for freedom of thought which they seldom use - soren kierkegaard |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orson_Scott_Card Now that's a shame. It's an excellent novel and would make a really good movie. Reality Internet Personality |

mmmm .... 'development hell' is the official status of 'ender's game' the movie. ah well.
Umm I think My Post was a little Vauge, Orson Card Is Not Carl Sagans Son But Nick Sagan is. http://www.nicksagan.com/
i guess my post was equally vague - i realize orson scott card is the author of the ender series, and not carl sagan's son. someone said nick sagan had written the original screen play for 'ender's game' but from the link u provided it's obvious that adaptation as well as several others have 'gone out the window' - hence the 'development hell' status. and yes i agree, es99, it is an excellent novel - whether it makes an excellent movie - or a movie of any kind remains to be seen. has anyone read nick sagan's novels? people demand freedom of speech as a compensation for freedom of thought which they seldom use - soren kierkegaard |
