Quick instruction:
Download 'CPU-Z' for to look which extensions [SSE/SSE2/SSE3/SSSE3/SSE4.1] your CPU have.
Download the 'Lunatics' Unified Installer' for your operation system [Windows [XP/Vista/7] 32/64 bit, Windows 98].
If your CPU have the following extensions, you must check:
SSE - Enhanced SSE - AstroPulse SSE
SSE2 - Enhanced SSE2 - AstroPulse SSE
SSE3 - Enhanced SSE3 - AstroPulse SSE3
SSSE3 - Enhanced SSSE3 - AstroPulse SSE3
SSE4.1 - Enhanced SSE4.1 - AstroPulse SSE3
[The SSE4.1 application is normally only at Core2 DUO faster, not at Core2 QUAD or Core i7 CPUs. For to be sure how it's on your system (maybe OCed?), you should make a test (SSSE3 - SSE4.1)]
If you have a 'CUDA capable nVIDIA GPU' you should check also the CUDA application.
Additional you should have installed the latest nVIDIA graphic driver for your GPU. For to have ~ 30 % speed up, you should install also 'CUDA V2.3'. Download this file and after unzip with '7-Zip', copy this two .dll's in the setiathome.berkeley.edu folder.
For to have well work fetch, you should look in this 'thread' for to insert flops entries in your app_info.xml .
For to get the max. performance out of your PC, you should use 'Fred's' nice program 'TThrottle'.
It can control the CPU/GPU temperatures (can throttle CPU/GPU usage if needed) and can increase the priority of the CUDA tasks to 'normal' for max. GPU performance.
