Getting warmer....2nd of 3 days in the 80s.

I hope that's not the event we're waiting for.

Instead of sitting here watching The Price is Right and reading the Seti forums, I should be getting my clothes from the dryer, trimming my beard, using the toilet, and taking a shower. Then I should be either going out to chase trains or finding a tax preparer (hello, Uli?).

Time definitions of eons and eras were vague in the sense they needed labels or specific events.

My beard is still here.

I didn't get rid of mine, just trimmed it. It was overdue.

Winning on a cool, breezy, but sunny Thursday morning. Trimmed my beard yesterday, had to look respectable when my American Legion Post Commander and I went to our old High School to interview candidates for Boys' State. Much has changed there in 40 years, but some things are still as I remember them....

Wondering if my stock of AA batteries has sat beyond its shelf life. I put new ones in my blood pressure machine and it's even deader than before. Also put new ones in my TV/cable remote and it's not working any better than before. Need to check them with the meter. I'll check the old ones too, while I'm at it.

Actually, I didn't really think there was anything wrong with the ones in the remote. The U-Verse box has been acting sluggish lately and I thought I would just eliminate weak batteries as the cause of it before complaining to AT&T. What I'm afraid of is that they'll offer me a new box and I'll lose all the stuff on the DVR.

We've gone through three DVR boxes; and yes, you lose your content each time... However; you don't lose your DVR settings, those stay on their network. When they plug in the new DVR, it picks up where the old one left off, and the next program set to record, records as normal. Try new fresh batteries before you call them.

Also, try to keep your stock of batteries in the refrigerator. They last longer. (A trick I got from my paternal Grandfather. He was a Ma Bell retiree; and always kept his battery stock in the frig.)

:-)

[EDIT]

Good morning everyone. :-)
