I put new ones in my blood pressure machine and it's even deader than before. Also put new ones in my TV/cable remote and it's not working any better than before. Need to check them with the meter. I'll check the old ones too, while I'm at it. Actually, I didn't really think there was anything wrong with the ones in the remote. The U-Verse box has been acting sluggish lately and I thought I would just eliminate weak batteries as the cause of it before complaining to AT&T. What I'm afraid of is that they'll offer me a new box and I'll lose all the stuff on the DVR. However; you don't lose your DVR settings, those stay on their network. When they plug in the new DVR, it picks up where the old one left off, and the next program set to record, records as normal. Try new fresh batteries before you call them. Also, try to keep your stock of batteries in the refrigerator. They last longer. (A trick I got from my paternal Grandfather.
