Posting after dinner. Had hamburgers and fries with corn on the cob. Still would have preferred Lamb Vindaloo...

Yep, I buy a bag that says 115, eat 4 for dinner, lasts Me a month, plus I buy between 5-10 bags of frozen veggies(California Style on the label, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli), It looks like I'll be spending maybe about $109.72 on food, plus maybe $198.72 on a pre-hung door for the house on or around the 1st of August.

My great-grandmother never bothered with a 'healthy' lifestyle. Drank Sherry like it was going out of fashion. Smoked like a chimney. Ate butter, cream, lard, eggs etc at most meals, all the high fat stuff we're told to eat less of. She pegged out at the age of 99. My grandparents on my father's side live a similar lifestyle and they're still going strong at 89 and 87. My grandparent's on my mother's side didn't last quite as long. My grandmother died at 79, but she was diabetic, my grandfather at 81 of no definite cause.

Looking to reduce my chocolate intake, which I have successfully done. It was nearly 20 years I last ate any, and that is because I don't like it. Give me a good healthy fried black pudding and ...

If you don't like it, why were you eating it in the first place?

That would be like me reducing my broccoli intake.

I eat what I want, when I want, and how I want, and always have done, my doctor is astounded that I have I have such a stable metabolism to have kept more or less the same weight for 50 years. I've managed to get to nearly 70 by doing it my way, and in pretty good trim, and I will continue to do so. I'll let you lesser mortals continue to worry about calories etc. :-))

I wish I could do that. I almost do that and I weigh twice what I should. I take 3 pills a day (one of them twice) for my blood sugar. I try to limit myself somewhat, like having a grilled chicken sandwich instead of a cheeseburger, but it's less satisfying.

Yeah Me too, I don't take any pills though, not for what I eat or drink, I try to eat a fairly healthy diet, it doesn't mean that I exclude junk food, I just don't buy very much in the way of junk food and yes I tend to eat the same foods day in and day out, but then I don't have unlimited income, technically I don't have enough income or enough ability to save, but that's for Congress to fix in a non hurtful manner and so far that ain't happening. I'm 53 and I've shopped for Myself for years and paid attention when My Mother shopped and made out Her list, so I do the same today.
