Hi all,

Thought I would make an appearance again. Haven't had a break in crunching, the machine's been plodding along nicely without any intervention, reboots or anything from me.

I got sick, so went quiet, but am back - for a while hopefully!

I managed to have a mild heart attack, that went undiagnosed for a long time (although I knew it had happened at the time!) and left me feeling incredibly unwell for weeks afterwards. My blood pressure was dangerously high and also went unnoticed, right to the point where I was close to having a stroke apparently - my head literally felt like it was exploding and I had such a loud ringing in my ears 24/7.

Those of you in the US that say we are lucky to have a national health service here - maybe not so - I had to go private at a cost of many many months of spending money to find out what was wrong and how to treat it.

So, lifestyle changes for me already in place. It's a genetic illness that has caused the problems, one that can't be "fixed", but one that lifestyle changes can certainly help keep under control.

My family on My Mothers side suffered from what was called hardening of the arteries, as that was what My Grandma died of, My Aunt had a pacemaker though & lived until She was 89, almost as long as My Great Grandpa on My Dads side, Great Grandpa lived until age 94...

Glad yer back and I hope feeling better Andy.

Glad you were able to get it taken care of. I have 5 bits of chicken wire around mine. As for cost, my care cost in excess of 300K US. For the average american that's about 5 years wages. So who know who has the better system. I am just glad it worked for both of us.

By the way have you heard of the caveman Diet. It's what I am on and it works for me.

No idea what that is - I'll Google it.

I haven't been put on a special diet, but my problem isn't weight or Cholesterol - just decided I should lose a bit and get fitter in light of my near miss.

Glad you are back and doing better. Diet and
exercise will certainly help prevent any
further occurances.

Be well Andy.

Andy - so sorry to hear about your recent health difficulties. Heart attacks in young people are often not diagnosed right away. I know two women, both skinny little things, who had mild heart attacks quite young. I wish you a speedy recovery and a long and happy life, my friend.

Welcome back bud I hope things go uphill from here. And national health car is blah in my book. ;)

Well you have no idea how I worried about Andy. He plans a visit to SF, then disappears.
