My life and free time: That's where my passions are. My 7yo son, my wifey, my family, technology, computers, Linux, learning bash scripting, hacking, breaking, building circuits, tweaking, peaking, amateur radio and shortwave listening, gaming, and just all around tech geek and hacker (not that kind of hacking!).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run seti@home because I have some room on my server to donate some processing, and have always been interested in SETI in general.
2. I think the project has a good goal. It's reasonable to assume "they" are out there somewhere, or lots of 'wheres.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
