First after the outage. I won that competition...

LOL

The real competition will begin when the upload and download servers come back online and we all try to return completed work and demand for new work creates its own ddos event.

It's not too many computers, it's a lack of circuit breakers for this room. But we can fix it :)

I have already uploaded almost all my work. Reporting will follow, before anyone else even tries :-)

Wow! I must have a couple of thousand to upload. This may take a few seconds.... :D

You(Sten-Arne) and me, accessed the Forum Pages, about the same time ;-)
One, out of 3 hosts (+ 1 LT) has reported, waiting for the other hosts
to report.

And now the SERVER Status Page is updated as well. Only the UPLoad
server appears to be down?!

Uploads are painful here - and I got started before Cricket showed the first blip. Oh well, such is life at SETI. BOINC site is also fully up.

Kitties are commencing to upload and report much completed work.
I have the max tasks reported option set to 100 to avoid that HTTP error problem.
Going pretty well so far.

You need to set it to ~60 to avoid the 'resend lost results' problem.

I've got a whopping two tasks to upload and then it'll be three to report :)

If it has not been fixed.....
In any case, I have to be off to work in a few minutes, so the rigs will have to struggle along as is for now.

EDIT...
And I think the problem will be somewhat mitigated by the fact that the rigs will not request new work until almost all of their backed up uploads have been completed.
If not, meouch.

They have removed the 64 task reporting limit (or at least raised it). I just reported 149 in one go.

Yes, it is exactly 256.

I just tried reporting 526, and had more than half left over.

(and I counted exactly 256 [sched_op] handle_scheduler_reply(): got ack for task...)

I have my cc_config set for 256 anyway :D.

Someone said set it for 200, so I changed it to a nice round number...
