There are European cars available with low fuel consumption, and a lower CO2 output than the Toyota Pius. When these diesels are driven conventionally on the road, the Euro mix fuel consumption is more likely to be achieved than that given for the Pius.

A car magazine recently reported a Lands-End to John O'Grotes, and return, run in a VW Blue Motion Passat which averaged 78.65mpg. This gives the range for a full tank of fuel (brim to dry) as an estimated 1385 miles (only 80 litres of fuel - 17.6 gallons).

I see this month's road test of a new BMW 320D EfficientDynamics is good -

The acceleration (0 to 62.5 mph) is 7.9 seconds
Top speed is 142 mph
Co2 emission is 109g/km (same as the Pius)
Engine power is 161 BHP
Torque is 280 lbs feet @ 2,750 rpm
Engine size is 1995 4 cylinder diesel
Euromix fuel consumption is 68.9 mpg (classified as the Combined fuel consumption)

I think the advantage the Toyota has is it is cheaper, you know what BMW prices are like.

Does this help me to win in 29C temperatures?

Yeah. My main rig died. It wasn't pretty. I couldn't even get the BIOS to come up. I was in the process of collecting the parts for a new system for my son, so I used the motherboard and CPU. Unfortunately, I've gone from a overclocked Q9400 to a stock Q8300. It's like walking in ankle-deep mud, but it works.

It will have to do until at least September.

Well at least Yer not using an old QX6700 B1 cpu, Can You say Bomber? Sure It's pretty fast, But It does use the juice a bit and It isn't easy to keep cool, But I'll eventually fix that. :D

Good luck.
