Looks like I'm winning, just like the cloudless sunny day we are having here. It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Seems you are only right on a technicality, geography depending, the 1200XL was launched ahead of the 800XL, but suffered a lack of sales - according to old-computers.com, it wasn't even launched here in the UK though (or anywhere in Europe), so your question was not entirely accurate or fair LOL. |

True enough to a point, It was not launched in Europe cause production lasted in the US and Taiwan all of 4 months due to a buggy OS rom(16K, 800XL/600XL had 24K OS rom, I've owned all but the XE's and the original 800, Heck I owned a functioning 1450XL motherboard which I installed in a "Modified/Altered(same meaning, I had cut a crude hole in the back for the PBI bus connector(fingers) that a 1200XL did not have)" 1200XL case and that I used a 1200XL psu brick with), So the 1200XL never was reportedly sold there, Although some were sold there as grey market items I read. So It's still true, It's just that the 1200XL was a flop back then. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
