I. I currently have twin 3870s in my backup machine. Was going to turn it into an HTPC. |

VII. Maybe - I have currently only nVIDIA GPU, but if the performance is way higher I will think about buying an ATI GPU. |

Having just splashed out on a CUDA capable card I can't see me splashing on another card for a some time to come. Perhaps by then S@H will have both ATI & CUDA applications available. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

III. NO - I don't have an ATI GPU subcategory - I won't buy only for crunching, unless i win lottery; but if when i buy my next comp. it will be a good perf./cost option, then why not? |

I for me. Or at least I would if I could get it working in a machine (various hardware issues). Thats one of the reasons why i'm testing BOINC 6.10 BOINC blog |

I is mine. Will try now to get Collatz running, MW is no go for my HD 2600. It's not double precision. Christoph |

II - Would love to go Red for the next GPU. Currently running Green only because it does SETI |

I. YES - I have an ATI GPU I currently have a total of 12 ati based systems I could possibly have running a gpu app. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

X. None of the above. I do have an ATI GPU in my Dell laptop, but it's not suitable for crunching. If sometime in the future I have a system with a GPU which can crunch S@H work, it certainly will, but I'm on dial-up and have little incentive to get a host which can do a lot of crunching. I focus on other ways I can help the project. Joe |

I. 4650 mobility folding perfectly, 3470 mobility + 2600 XT card doing nothing The reasons would be: 1. Folding on my 4650 laptop card is doing fine, but it takes up to 16 hours for a task with a deadline of 3 days, and I still have to keep an eye on the client not to surpass the deadline. 2. It's really a waste that I cannot fold on the other cards, especially if I could limit the gpu usage somehow to go unnoticed, but still crunch better than the cpu version. 3. I tried running on collatz, still no go on any of the cards & drivers, and I don't have the DP for milkyway. 4. If you manage to make an application with long deadlines, but can practically run on any kind of gpu client, and still be 10x faster than the cpu client, everybody will benefit from this. In fact, whichever projec manages to make an application for my lower cards, with reasonable (long) deadlines, has my full support, since boinc has pretty good remote and limiting capabilities. |

I but I'm unaware of what level of ATI this would require. I do know their are some relatively cheap ATI's out there. I'm currently running an ATI 2600 which is very nice still but not good enough for MW In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
