Hi Chris. What's up?

Norra lot mate. Having a beer after a 170 mile drive back from the West Country. Been down to see dad on Fathers day w/e. Got a College staff meeting at 10.30 tomorow morning else I would have stayed over another day.

I'm glad you had some time with your dad. Also glad you are able to relax a little with that beer.

I'm having to lean toward giving up drinking beer; not completely, but less often, (which isn't really much in my case anyway; something like once a month now), due to gout. It seems like I'll have a beer and two days later my left ankle swells up two and a half times normal size. Ooooh, and the pain! I can barely stand at that point, and walking is something that I'd rather not attempt. Gout sucks!

Are you sure it's the beer, TL04.

The nobility used to get gout after imbibing muchly on a decent port?

I checked with the Doctor; so, yes it's the beer. I don't eat enough meat for it to be that, and I don't drink any wines because they give me heartburn.

Colchicine (sp) and Endocine (sp) are the meds I take when the gout flares up. In a matter of hours, the gout is relieved.

The funny thing about the beer is that I can cook with it, (like in Chilli), and I have no issues. I drink a bottle, and it's gout city.

Winning before dinner and recovering from the most incredible heat today. It was 120F in Palm Desert earlier (49C) and I nearly passed out from the heat!

I am in LA now and it is a much cooler 90F here at the Hotel.

Well first off, it is Endocin no e and it is an Non- Steroidal ANTI-INFLAMITORY (NSAID)...SECONDLY WHEN YOU COOK WITH THE BEER THE ALCOHOL IN IT EVAPORATES QUICKLY, maybe that is why it doesn't bother you then...good test would be to drink a near beer and see if affects you the same...Granted there is still a little alcohol in it but not enough to really say there is, that is why most states will card people trying to buy it... Sorry to hear about the gout, it runs in my family too several members have it but every one of them drink. I wonder if they are aware of that side effect or if they don't suffer from that particular one..I will pass it along anyway. Good luck with it I know all too well about foot and leg pain and IT IS NOT FUN!!! you are very right about that. Hope you get to feeling better. Night all, Morning and afternoon to the rest...
