I have not been in the forums before now, and have only just seen the post about Blurf from Suzette. I am shocked to hear of the crime, and wish Pete a rapid and comfortable recovery. Sheila and my thoughts are with you both, and I hope that you (Suzette) do not worry too much. Peace and you are in our thoughts It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Best wishes for a speedy, complete recovery, Blurf. I hope its comforting to know that you have such a large, international group pulling for you. The tragedy is that this stuff happens at all and that so many people seem to feel justified in doing it. Does anyone know where this happened? |

Blurf, I wish you a speedy recovery. This perp has no moral values and no empathy for fellow human beings. |

7AM UPDATE: THEY RELEASED MR. BLURF SO I COULD GET HIM HOME BEFORE I LEAVE FOR WORK. HE'S RESTING IN BED WITH THE PUPS. XRAYS SHOW NO PERMANENT NECK DAMAGE BUT HE'LL BE DRIVING HIMSELF TO THE CHIROPRACTOR AT NOON OR SO AFTER HE RESTS. HE NEEDS HIS CHASSIS REALLIGNED (SMILE). TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED-BOTH JUVENILE. THEY DIDN'T GET AWAY EASILY THOUGH-HE GOT A COUPLE OF GOOD SHOTS IN BECAUSE ONE HAS A BROKEN FOREARM. THE 2ND WAS JUST A LOOKOUT AND SWEARS HE DIDN'T TOUCH HIM BUT HE HAS 2 CRUSHED TOES SO I DON'T KNOW. BEING JUVENILE THE MEDIA DOESN'T WANT TO TOUCH IT AND WE'RE NOT AFTER PUBLICITY OR MONEY--THAT'S NOT A BIG ISSUE TO US. HE'S OK (ISN'T THAT WHAT MATTERS?) JUST REALLY REALLY REALLY SORE. I GAVE HIM A PRINTOUT OF YOUR WELL-WISHES AND HE WAS REALLY TOUCHED AS HE FEELS SOMETIMES HE'S NOT WELL LIKED HERE. BELIEVE IT OR NOT HE HAS A HEART OF SOLID GOLD-HE'S JUST A VERY BY-THE-BOOK KIND OF MAN, BUT IF HE'S RESPECTED HE'LL GIVE YOU THE CLOTHES OFF HIS BACK AND MORE. HE WAS TALKING IN THE CAR OF MAYBE NOT RETURNING TO THE "MODERATOR" POSITION IF OFFERED LATER, BUT THAT'S HIS CHOICE. HE'S GOTTEN INTO SOMETHING CALLED SECOND LIFE AND SAID HE IS TO GOING TO PLAY ON THAT A LOT. I HAVE TO LEAVE FOR WORK. THIS WILL BE MY LAST UPDATE. HE SAID HE MAY POST TONIGHT IF HE FEELS UP TO IT. Glad to hear that Blurf is going well and that there is no long-term damage, other than the mental one - been there, done that except mine involved a gun, and it takes a LONG while to get over that. Get well, get straight & Get unbruised soon :) |

Got up to take a pain pill...I'm ok. Going back to bed Welcome back, Bluf!!! I hope they didn't give you namby-pamby painkillers. If not fully effective, demand Exocet/Endocet...codeine based and the best available. I hope you recover real soon! Find out if their parents are rich, and if so, sue the bas****s! Daddy will settle the claims. |

I HAVE TO LEAVE FOR WORK. THIS WILL BE MY LAST UPDATE. HE SAID HE MAY POST TONIGHT IF HE FEELS UP TO IT. You take good care of him. We may not always agree with Blurf's moderation but so what? He' does a **** good job - just don't let him censor the asterisks! Glad they got the little so-and-sos. No one should ever be subjected to the sort of treatment they meted out. Good men like Mr. Blurf deserve good things, not bad. |

Got up to take a pain pill...I'm ok. Going back to bed Happy to hear that you are at home resting up...... Glad you were able to give those scalawags a bit of a tumble before they got away, and that they did not get away for very long. The broken arm is getting off too easy..... My only wish is that they are old enough to be waived into adult court... Rest well.... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Glad to hear your out Pete, rest easy. I'm very glad the little snot nosed brats were caught. Juveniles these days, have nothing better to do than this. Its sad, real sad. But at least now justice can be served to these 2, although it may or may not do any good. Take care buddy. Jeremy |

Got up to take a pain pill...I'm ok. Going back to bed Mark's comments express my feelings. Glad you are home and resting. I hope the chiropractor session is not too painful, and that the rest of the day is good! Regarding the mod job ... we sometimes disagree with the practice or interpretation. But, there is no need to feel isolated by that voluntary job. In a way, it's no different to being a metermaid or parking warden. The job is what people see, and not the person. More is the pity. Recover well and quickly It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |
