What??? you guys haven't seen the latest Ron Popiel advert on TV? It's the new "Roblematic, it slices, it dices, it makes coffee, and it's all yours for 3 easy payments of 19.95" |

TV? Whats that? Oh, that small display in the other room. Now I remember... Hum... wonder if I can buy some new battery for the remote. If I can figure out what those were... and get that mess out... Well at least someone is in the lab now. A little bit ago they "Disabled" the splitter that has been setting "Not Running" for the past day or so. And they now have the file_deleter, db_purge and Transitioner running instead of Disabled, and are making progress on deleting files. |

Wow, I wonder how that slipped through. They now have the Scheduler Running, but not much traffic on the Internet connection yet. Just the steady drum of connection requests down in the noise level of what is left of the Seti Classic traffic. |

I'm still wondering about the title of this thread: I have no roblems with this. I could not have typed it better if I had bionic hands. |

OK, the last Status page shows upload traffic has started again. About 1100 more WorkUnits being ready to validate. Not much, but at least a start. The interesting thing, is that the Cogent Internet link does not show any increase in activity to indicate activity. However, if it is just uploads, then it might no really show anything and those uploads are just be lost in the noise level of the Seti Classic traffic, which is down to 60% of what it was three weeks ago. |

I'm still wondering about the title of this thread. Its been bugging me for hours - roblematic? Then it hit me - BOINC is problematic!!! DUR! (Actually its SETI that is "roblematic" at the moment - BOINC is working exactly as it should.) |

I'm thinking he/she meant ruble. Boinc must be making money for the Russians automatically. Where can I get my share? LOL Kitty@SETI team (Russia). Our cats also want to know if there is ETI out there |

Nope ! I’ am pleased with the common situation. My Uploads in 24 hours is about 410. Pending credits is now about 630. Cya. |

Yes, "roble" is a Spanish word for "oak". Back in February 1957 Russell Arms sang a song called "Cinco Robles" (Five Oaks). Maybe the initiator meant "problematic" and his finger slipped off the "P" key too fast. |

"Boinc is problematic." I accept this. Name me one thing "We Humans" have made that is not. Boinc is as good as we are, and (I am sad to say/disillusion you) we humans are far (far far far) from perfect. So taking into account that nothing we humans have ever made is perfect, why does anyone expect Boinc to be perfect? Boinc's problems come from the fact that the humans who made it are not perfect. Just like no-one in the whole world is perfect. I think that, all things considered, it's rather good. It seems very resilient to problems. it seems to do what it was designed for, which is cope with problems. Foamy is "Lord and Master". (Oh, + some Classic WUs too.) |
