Message 183151 - Posted: 28 Oct 2005, 4:49:02 UTC - in response to Message 181818.

Look, if there are any aliens out there, rest assured that they would all be members of:

Blue Oyster Cult

BOC has long been the soundtrack to the universe, including, "Don't Fear the Reaper," which, as we all know, may just be the result if we find some angry aliens. And who could forget such classics as "Veteran of the Psychic Wars," featured in the cult (get it?) classic "Heavy Metal." There's "Burnin' For You," "Astronomy," and many others.

We feature original members of BOC, and when the aliens come you would be able to say you were part of the team that created the soundtrack!

All our times have come, Here-but now there-gone. We're the nexus of the crisis, and the origin of storms.

We are a small international Seti@home team consisting only of Mac users.
Currently, members from Germany and Switzerland are in our team.
However, we hope that in the future, "setians" from other
countries will join our team.
New members are always welcome, provided that they are "crunching"
with a Mac. ;-)

If you're interested, you can join us here: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/team_join_form.php?id=113627

Sometimes I think we are alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we are not. In either case the idea is quite staggering.

Still have but one member...

Shunned by teams from the rest of Canada...

Cruelly victimized by having our ads minused on EVERY SINGLE PROJECT! (Really! Someone needs a life out there.)

Time to call it quits...

NOT!

Not just a team, but a.... uhm... no, it's just a team. But we're British Columbian! That's an adventure during labour disputes!

Did you say bump, Jason?

Live long and crunch.

Bump? What do you mean? Did I miss something?

And this post rates a 6? Looks like someone has nothing better to do than to rate posts...

I saw this morning that a new person to BOINC had started a recruiting thread in Science, when they were told that there were already threads available for elsewhere he told them to 'shut up'.... not a good approach if you're looking to get more members

For those who know that your PC is missing a chip if there's only one processor inside.
How else could so few crunch so much?

For ANYONE who does not want to get LOST in the shuffle and is interested in joining a SMALL team, give Team Chicopee a chance. We have a usergroup on Google and our webpage is located at Team Chicopee Webpage

You will be known and appreciated on our team. We participate in ALL the Boinc projects and have done so since the Beginning of Boinc. We even put your plaque on our Wall of Fame. We don't get in your face like a lot of groups.
