Understanding our environment (including the universe) is key to understanding ourselves and it is human nature to explore all that is around us. As our civilization develops we will find life outside of our solar system and explore the other planets beyond our own. I'm looking forward towards discovering more about the diversity and structure of extrasolar planetary systems. I'm glad to be part of POG and SETI and wait with baited breath for the day where we learn that Earth is not the only cradle for life within our universe.
