I got word that Byron, who founded team Carl Sagan more than 21 years ago, has been hospitalized. No further details are available at the moment, except that his condition has been deteriorating recently. Your encouragements, Get Well messages & wishes for a speedy recovery will be transmitted to him through a family member, and I will post updates here as I receive them. As much as we'd like to prove his doctor wrong, the news aren't good : I just wanted to update you in Chuck Hatch’s medical condition. I spoke with his doctor this morning. He will not be getting out of the hospital and only has a few days left. I’m devastated to have to share this news to all of you. His loving niece, Catherine Hatch.Catherine, who is courageously supporting her uncle through these difficult times, adds : If you wish to send him any messages, send them to me and I will read them to him before he passes. :'(Catherine has read access to this thread. Byron is not aware of this diagnostic, but suspects it. Please keep sending here some love his way. |
