how would you compare horses and cows

If I had to I'd say they both have four legs bout neither of them can do SETI.

Not with that attitude they can't! Do they have WiFi or do we need to plug them in with an ethernet cable?

The other is more efficient and has more what ever it needs to have to produce what it is expected to do albeit more slowly. The other is more trained as a work horse. They do what they are programmed to do and what they leave behind is a good fertilized ground for the others. (Still though I would not swim in it).

The servers are doing heir best. We're too.
I've run out of my hay stack of GPU work and now I doing those Monster Bile units left behind, all the kind of CPU work.

I might make it to 9 PM - PDT; but, tomorrow I will be hurting for sure with Exeter running low, now... :-(

Prometheus is good until sometime tomorrow; if no more work comes in...

The GPUs are good for maybe another 2 hours, then it's only the CPU work units left.

Well, for me, it's whichever gives me work first... I have both set as backup projects.

I still hope that SETI will give new WUs, tomorrow... :-)

Ah well, if tasks for main doesn't start flowing soon, I will start crunching from my Beta cache.

No problems, I have days worth of Beta tasks left.

Oh, I forgot!!! I have another crunching program running on Prometheus; Folding@Home. Unfortunately, it is a stand alone program; it doesn't run under BOINC. (They tried years ago, and couldn't get it to cooperate the way BOINC wants to; or, the way Stanford expected it to...) So, I could Suspend BOINC altogether, and run Folding@Home until the SETI units start flowing, again...

Right now, F@H is crunching on CPU, while BOINC crunches GPU. They seem to be playing nice together this way. I wouldn't want to crunch both programs at the same time on the GPU, though... That might get messy. :-O

I like the idea of Folding, very similar to GPUGrid but of course Stanford and Cal Berk don't play well with each other.

Why Stanford decided to go it alone is known only to them. :(

I'll probably do a little Beta but eventually will be back to Einstein if data doesn't flow anytime soon.
