You can probably get in touch with the author at the project web site.

Great.

If you have any ideas for features or capabilities, let me know...I'm busy, but depending upon the complexity, I might be able to find the necessary time.

Keep crunching.

Nothing big, but perhaps the extension could be expanded for use with ANY Boinc project? Or as someone else mentioned, a combined Boinc stat.
You will be assimilated...bunghole!

Ok!Here some questions from Boinc@Heidelberg:

1) Is it possible to integrate other Boinc projects and if the mouse is put over the current position of the extension a popup, like "download ready" or "new messages" appears and displays all projects and credits

2) If it is possible to integrate other projects, only the recent updated project is shown in the corner. Maybe with projectname

3) Is it possible to use the extension with the TeamID?

I don't know whether this is executable?!

I don't personally use anything else other than SETI BOINC, so I don't know how the other projects are setup.

1) It is certainly doable to have details displayed in a popup if the user mouses over or clicks the stats panel.

2) If the stats are viewable on the web via a single URL with a parameter, as a web page or XML, then the answer is yes, this is possible.

3) Assuming I understand the request...if the TeamID is just another parameter (maybe for a different URL as well), yes, it can be done.

It sounds like a non-trivial task to add this sort of capability however.

Please add a note on the http://sahuserstats.mozdev.org page with you requests, and we'll see how many people would be interested in these features. If enough are interested, I'll take a closer look at the level of effort required.

Please also include links to other BOINC stats sites, so I can see how the pages are formatted...this'll help determine what the Options dialog will need in terms of paramters per site, and also the regex needed to parse the pages.

Thanks.

-Chris

Left a note at the site you mentioned

Do you want links to other boinc projects or to 3rd party stats?

Hi Chris.

Uhh, The board developer(s) did something that causes your FireFox extension to show "Data Unavailable". Could you look into it for us, please? A lot of us hang out in Cafe SETI. I mentioned that I would search for this post and post this reply for: HELP!!! :-) We would be most appreciative. Thanks....

Hi Everyone,

Yes, the changes the team made to the stats page, broke the parsing routine.

There'll always be a delay between when they change something, I have a fix in place. I try to make it as short as possible.

From within Firefox, you can check for updates to extensions via the Tools/Options/Advanced/Software Updates section.

Or, drop by the Extension site (http://sahuserstats.mozdev.org) to see if there's a new version.

Thanks.

-Chris

Chris,

Thanks for updating the extension for us!

One thing, I did try going into tools/extensions/clicking the seti extension and selecting update - it didn't find an update. I had to do it manually, once someone had pointed me to the correct website. Should this work, or not?

Cheers,

Chris aka Kinnison
