I am not happy with this thread. It offends me. No. Why? Because you'd forget the Limbaughism "I don't need to make this stuff up, people!" Mitt's said enough ridiculous things, but Celt feels he needs to make extra stuff up, when there's no need. Plus, he thinks there's an apostrophe in Obama: wouldn't calling him O'Bama indicate you think he's an Irish American? |

wouldn't calling him O'Bama indicate you think he's an Irish American? If he isn't then he's in a very small minority of US presidents who at least haven't claimed to have some Irish genes in their gene bank.... Make this stuff up? I am a Canadian; I can assure you there is nothing I could think of that would surpass anything that has come out of the GOP in 2012. I am certain that Mr O’Bama is in fact part Irish; also part German, English, and Laplander as well. I am gravely concerned that this all bugs you, and I want you to know that I will be taking your feeling under consideration just as soon as I want to. I have fact checked your charge that I make up things. I must say that after extensive consideration I find your charges to be just that. If you find that I have missed anything don’t worry, I’ll think of it later. For those of you who have found this to be a bit too much reading all in one go, there could be images at eleven. |

No, He hasnt missed the point. Its called satire. I get it. If Mitt is the best the republicans can put forward, And he still shoots himself in the foot at least every week,He deserves what he gets. As this is an international forum, Its interesting to see what other folks think about our politics. How ever when the Canadian elections come about I thinks its only fair for payback. But seeing as our lamestream media dosent report all the news we should know about. I doubt we will ever know when or who is in their elections. [/quote] Old James |

James, I would certainly love to see how you will manage to poke fun at the Canadian elections, after all, by then you will be the Souther Provinces of The United States of Canada, and you will be voting in the first combined election for the new leader of the French speaking world..... I say there is no need to wait for an election before we start on Canadian politics. First we have to understand the rules of the road sort of. We have three main national parties, the Conservatives who are really kind of liberal socialist. Then we got the Liberals who are not liberals, they are social progressives. Last but not least we have a party called the New Democratic Party, these guys are commie’ social, kind of progressive liberal conservatives. So before I go any further, are we clear on all of this? |

According the todays Times he is ready to blame China for all the US's fiscal problems. Still not looking at the impact of Global competition and the Chinese being the largest holder of US bonds. Is this today/this week's gaff? It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Well, the conservatives believe in trickle down stuff, and tax breaks for big oil concerns, and they have abortion issues. I have to admit that some of the other parties also have similar ideas. There is however no one group of idiots that one can point to and say; “teaidiot!†In Canada there exists a thing that is part of parliamentary politics, it is called party discipline. In the USA any member of the government can vote any way they want and still be part of the party they got elected as. In Canada if a party member votes against his or her party they can be tossed out of that party and that makes it harder to get re-elected in a lot of cases. Edit: Mitt Stupid is at it again, take your pick...... |

"When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem." - Mitt Romney. Reality Internet Personality |

Just image what would have happened if one of the others had got the nomination. The Republican brain drain In 1980 Ronald Reagan won the Republican nomination. He beat a future president, George H.W. Bush; two future Senate majority leaders, Howard Baker and Bob Dole; and two lesser-known congressmen. This year Mitt Romney won the GOP nomination. He beat a radio host, a disgraced former House speaker, a defeated Senate candidate, a former appointee of the Obama administration, a tongue-tied Texas governor, a prevaricating religious zealot who happens to serve in the House of Representatives and a cranky libertarian doctor. Where did all the talent go? |
