@ Timmy
i think Rachel mean this
In England
............
In 1605, Guy Fawkes and a group of conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Before they were able to carry out their plan they were caught, tortured and executed.
Every year since then we have traditionally celebrated his failure by letting off fireworks and burning an effigy of 'Guy'

Thanks Guido!

In 1605, Guy Fawkes (also known as Guido - yes, really) and a group of conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament.

I like the diiffent look of the Trucks!

I found a poem

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
Gunpowder treason and plot.
We see no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

Guy Fawkes, guy, t'was his intent
To blow up king and parliament.
Three score barrels were laid below
To prove old England's overthrow.

By god's mercy he was catch'd
With a darkened lantern and burning match.
So, holler boys, holler boys, Let the bells ring.
Holler boys, holler boys, God save the king.

And what shall we do with him?
Burn him!

Must it only be an effigy of Guy Fawkes, or can you add in others?

People here light bonfires and burn a Guy on the Fire and let off firewoks and eat jacket potatoes and hot soup.I have a great view of the area from my bedroom window and see for miles.

I've watched enough BBC to know about Guy, but I'm wondering if anyone else can be added to the fire.

Friday night is ST: Enterprise!
I've never heard of bonfire night. But if you really want a good fire going stack wood pallets as high as you can (bring step ladder), take can of white gas and sprinkle liberally (in fact use as much as you can get), strike match, throw match at pallets, run and dive for the ground as if you just dropped a hand grenade. It'll be the best fire you've ever had.
