If it's nicotine stains, you will have to first get a sealer like Kilz then paint it. Nicotine will bleed right through regular interior paint. Looks like a nice little place, how's the neighborhood?

On that note, check with the local law enforcement to see if they have a department that deals with crime statistics. We have them here, and they are more than happy to share information to assist you in looking at homes in certain area's.

I don't think that is needed here, Looks well patrolled.

Thats good. Its still nice to know what kind of crime has occurred in the area. I did that when I bought my place. ABout 2-3 years before we moved here, there was a shooting. However, since then, the only crime going on around here is just domestic disturbances. All the little hoodlums have been run out. Probably helps that most of the deputies that are out on the street know I live here, so they make quite a few frequent patrols. LOL Helps also having a neighbor as a deputy.

This place looks much nicer. What you'll save in paint and cleaning supplies will pay for a dishwasher if you need one.

Ok that place isn't worth doing, As the Electrical Service wasn't tested as the panel is covered by Ivy, So It could be ok or a can of worms and I don't have the money for that.

But there is another place or two @ or below $55,000.00, That were suggested by My agent, plus one that I know is just needing Me to Move in,That I'll look into instead. It shows No Dishwasher, Yet lists one.

Did they wallpaper that one room with brown packing paper? I don't like that color at all. Medicine cabinets shouldn't set you back much, they're easy to hang up if you get the kind that just screw to the wall. Make sure you measure the wall studs. You should be able to find a stove easy enough either through the thrift shop or the local want ads or maybe Craig's list online. Other than that it will just be some elbow grease except for the garage door opener.

hi vic ..

.. remember having been in kind of similar situation some years ago; at this time, i had to re-start EVERYTHING from scratch (and every-thing is really meant to be every-thing!). it was too much 4 me now, to read & watch all here (sorry), but pls be sure .. in austria, - as far as i could see - you would never be able to get ANYthing like that - for this price.
.. they are selling (really small ~ 75 square meters) FLATS near & in the surroundings of vienna for > 100 .. 300k euro, and houses in this area which are in a state like this - acc. to the pictures - you will not find below € 200k @ all.
so .. as hard, as life might seem sometimes .. it even could be harder; so feel encouraged to follow your plans - in focus of your wishes & dreams - and it will happen - in one or the other way.

kind regards from austria!

Sorry to hear that, Vic.

Seems like you've had one balloon popping on you after another lately.
I would have thought that, given the situation in the housing market as of late, you would have had better luck than you have had.

Of course, your financial situation imposes further limits on your options than some others might have available to them.

I hope your perseverance comes to fruition for you and Grace soon.

The kitties will send a few extra meows your way.

Meow, meow, meow, meow.

The CA State Legislature voted to cut the SSI Benefit check by the last $15 a month today, So My check will go from $845 to $830 soon enough.

You really aren't having much luck lately are you? :(

Message 1080485 - Posted: 23 Feb 2011, 0:33:34 UTC - in response to Message 1080474.

Ok I just got through talking to Guild Mortgage and they talked to a place and that place said they'd pick up the high cost mortgage, If I have a credit score and only if I have a Credit score, Which I don't. My contact there is only using County approved lenders so as to preserve the loan, But I can only hope someone will, He said He'd next call the major places(Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc), Failing that, What recourse do I have?

There was no copies of paperwork sent to Me, They had approved of one High Cost Mortgage before mine and someone @ Guild didn't want to do that again and when I applied for the mortgage I could have been told of the limit on loan fees, Yet no one did, To fulfill the mortgage I sold My mobile home to the park and even If I had the money they would never sell It back to Me or sell Me another one or allow a privately owned home into the park again, as the owners of the park want an all rental park I think. As they have plans to fill up all the extra spaces with their own homes.

So I guess I'm screwed, if Guild Mortgage Company can't find someone to take over the mortgage.

Can you get one of those secured credit cards in order for you to get a credit score?

Kitties accepted is a must, of course.
And utilities included can be quite a bonus for a Seti cruncher.

Good luck, Vic.

Vic,

Not sure if you are quite in their area, but give
http://www.delanceystreetfoundation.org/entermoving.php
a call. Friends in LA found them less expensive than the traditional places and they did good work.

Oh here's a bit of trivia for Ya, What does the show Green Acres and the Central Valley have in common?

The answer isn't Hooterville...

Pixley

I've driven that 99 route a few times myself. I lived in the Sacramento area for several years and I have a half-sister in Hemet.

Best of luck to ya'!

Drive safely!

Martin
