Grace laying claim to some of the Groceries.

Hey Vic, in this pic it looks as though she is 'daring' you to take the bag away.
She has that look in her eyes: ..."go ahead, make my kitty day"..
LOL!

Grace licking up some Maple Syrup off My plate.

Great pics, Vic! A while back I had fixed myself a fairly elaborate supper, elaborate by my standards at least, placed it all on the TV tray and settled back to eat and watch a ball game. In the blink of an eye Jake jumped up on the tray to investigate. With the dishes and all he didn't have much room so he landed right on the edge of the tray, throwing it off balance, and launching him and my supper half way across the living room. Within seconds Alexis and 'squatch joined Jake on the floor to share the meal he had just captured. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Jake said it was an accident, but it looked awfully well choreographed and planned. I'll add here that the rug shampooer I bought the next day was a good investment.

To much grease Vic, I certainly wouldn't want to clean up that mess.

On a lighter subject, Ruta tried to teach her fellow brothers how to steal sandwiches of the counter. She got away with the first snatch without being caught, but wasn't so successfull the second time around. A talking to and moving things out of her reach for awhile cured that issue.

Now that's why I'm not a cat person. They are too finicky. I have a relative who had a cat that would eat french fries, but only if they were fresh, and only if they had the right kind of ketchup on them. Any dog, on the other hand, is very happy to eat the container the french fries or the ketchup came in. And the dog looks genuinely happy chewing on the box. Much lower maintenance.

But she probably doesn't chew. That is, after all, how you get pills into them.

I've often wondered about that with dogs I've owned. They don't chew, the food is in their mouth for a second or two only, buty they still have favorites. How can the tell if they like it?

The 4 dogs got quite wet and muddy on their country walk today. I need to give them a few hours to dry off, then it's lots of brushing all around to clean them up later.
