Naw, we were just being too quiet so they jiggled a switch. Nothing to see here... these are not the WUs you are seeking!

Message 1014790 - Posted: 11 Jul 2010, 21:13:23 UTC - in response to Message 1014784.

Something just happened.I had been getting 1 wu for everone reported and it was working quite well. I was dreading the scramble to fill my cache tomorrow, when BOINC reported 1 wu, and got 25. I don't know for sure, but if the limit came off early, it will be a whole lot easier to download enough to survive the outage. I have to work tomorrow, so babysitting my rig cant happen for 25 hours at this point. Maybe it's just me being optimistic, but I got 25!

Steve

If it's not the problem, try to count wu's in your boinc data folder. I'm sure you'll find that there's exactly 1000 of them. Well maybe 1 or 2 less :-) Number of wu's on my computer confirms that the 1000 quota works great (952cuda, 41AP, 7vlars) So tomorrow I'll be chasing AP tasks only.

AT the moment I have 179 CPU, all VLAR
155 GPU, 54 of which are VHAR.

It's way below 1000, but up until a few minutes ago, it was trading unit for unit. The cricket graph is spiking at an earlier time than it was.

Jeff just posted.....

10/CPU
80/GPU
2000/total"

Guess I got my flops count finished just in time. Got my quota and probably will live now.

Don't feel bad Steve, My QX6700 B1 cpu has 320 VLAR's by using rescheduler 1.9 and the four 295 gpu's have 26 VHAR's and 280 cuda WU's. Will I make It? It's hard to say right now, BT 0.63 says something, But cause of temporarily adding a flops setting to My app_info file, My cache is still messed up, Of course the app_info file doesn't have the flops entry anymore.

The flops entry had made My DCF go up to about 5.5887, So I had to remove the entries and edit the DCF values in the client state and previous client state files to about 0.0887 or so.

Well it seems my old P4 is not going to last long starting the next outage. I have 3 tasks on it. I set all riggs for a 3 day cache. The other two have a nice amount of work Not 3 days but id say its close to two full days anyway. I have rebooted and that did no good. Im not complaining that I will run out,I need to clean the fans anyway. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

Am I guessing right that it's not requesting new work when you update?

What are the estimated times (in relation to the real times) to crunch?

What's the DCF of that host?

Why don't you raise the cache a bit?

Its requesting work only when i complete one.
My DCF is 0.2294 No errors, or invalids.
I figure a 3 day is good enough, I dont care if I run out of work, the last day.

Edit- Im going to bed, work tonight. Like I said Im just wondering if anyone else is seeing this?

I've got 1 task on my P4, with a 4 day cache. It's also got 100,000 seconds debt, as it's been doing lots of Seti's from before last week's outage in high priority this weekend (between shutdowns due to thunderstorms). So I doubt it gets more, not that I am worried, it's got work from other projects. :)

Application details for Astropulse updates doesn't appear to be working. I completed 2 of them yesterday. One has validated and the other is still pending.

Nothing showing here yet:

Astropulse v505 5.05
Number of tasks completed 0
Max tasks per day 100
Number of tasks today 0
Consecutive valid tasks 0
Average turnaround time 0.00 days

(I wonder if it's a typo! Tasks list says "Astropulse v505 v5.05"...)

Obviously 3 days for BOINC are not what 3 days are for the rest of us ;-)

I assume the sum of estimated run times on the P4 is less than 24 hours, so the easiest way to get more would be to raise the limit, since you said that all your hosts don't have work for full three days.

As I understand it, APs stats aren't implemented in Application details yet.

I found this morning when i got home that I had a bad ether net cord on the p4 also. intermitent connection sure didnt help. But its to late now to worry about it. I did see I need to shut it down and give it a clean cleaning too.
Thanks for your suggestions Gundolf.
