Let's overthrow Roe v. Wade... Digable Planets - "La Femme Fetal" off of "Reachin' (A new refutation of time and space)" It was 8:49 on a beautiful 9th day of July There was not a cloud to speak of so the orange sun hung lonely in the sky I was laying prone in my cat-beat home list'nin to fine nappy jackie and his jazzcat's horn, sliding in a tape of Bird on Verve when suddenly rang my phone. "Hello butterfly", a voice said, "Slip on some duds comb out your 'fro and slide on down to my pad "The vibe here is very pleasant and I truly request your presence - A problem of great magnitude has arose and as we speak it grows." "Damn, what could it be?" I thought, A juice I bought, and rolled on down to her spot. Seeing 'bros I know, slapping fives, I arrived, and pressed G-5. And there was Nikki Lookin' some kinda sad with tears fallin from her eyes. She sat me down, And dug my frown, and began to run it down "You remember my boyfriend sid that fly kid who I love Well our love was often a verb, and spontaneity has brought a third. But do to our youth an economic state we wish to terminate - About this we don't feel great" (But baby, that's how it is) "But the feds have dissed me - They ignore and dismiss me. And the pro-lifers harrass me outside the clinic And call me a murderer" (Now that's hate) "So needless to say we're in a mental state of debate" "Hey beautiful bird", I said diggin' her somber mood "The fascists are some heavy dudes. They don't really give a damn about life - They just don't want a woman to control her body or have the right to choose. But baby that ain't nuthin' - They just want a male finger on the button, because if you say war, they will send them to die by the score. Aborting mission should be your volition, but if Souter and Thomas have their way, you'll be standing in line unable to get welfare." (While they'll be out hunting and fishing) "It has always been around, it will always have a niche but they'll make it a privelege not a right accessible only to the rich. Pro-lifers need to dig themselves because life don't stop after birth, and to a child born to the unprepared... It might even just get worse The situation would surely change if they were to find themselves in it. Supporters of the h-bomb and fire bombing clinics... What type of shit is that? Orwellian in fact: If Roe v. Wade was overturned, would not the desire remain intact? Leaving young girls to risk their healths and doctors to botch and watch as they kill themselves? I don't want to sound macabre, but hey - Isn't it my job to lay it on the masses and get them off their asses to fight against these fascists? So whatever you decide make that move with pride Sid will be there and so will I. Rhythms and sounds spinning around. Confrontations across the nation: Your block, My block, Dreadlocks, What a shock! Land of the free - But not me. |

First off two years of mandatory service for everybody without exception (unless you're laying down dying- I'm flexible here) is something that everybody's got to do. This service can be working for the parks department in your town, caring for the infirm or elderly, tutoring kids, working on a state construction project (as an apprentice or a journeyman, manning a drawbridge - any damn thing. The point is that while kids are in school they know this time is coming up and a structure set up can funnel people through a elective process so for example, a bi-lingual 18 year old can work in a structured environment helping people with english as a second language, or helping people in US citizenship classes. Military service is an option as well and it seem evident to me that if a kid has a yen to fly a jetliner he's going to need to learn how. Technical fields also need apprentices. I wish I knew how to service a helicopter for $28 an hour. Also this kind of obligatory service would put alot of young people in a place where for the first time they'd be working together with others and not be in an actual work-a-day competitive commercial environment- they would be learning to co-operate and learning to meet goals. The reward of performance of civic duty would apply here as well- I was dragged kicking into the army when I was a kid and didn't like it a bit but today I'm not sorry I didn't run to Canada. If I'd had a choice then about how to serve I believe it could have been a more positive experience and if everybody had to get into it- then surely people would find ways to make the best of it. And I think that kind of participation would be good for the country by creating better citizens...cc |

That sounds interesting but who has confidence in today's political right-wing-uber-alles environment? If it's "two years of helping" communities for all kids, a noble thought, I'm sure we would end up with Lockheed & Halliburton administering it. And as I've stated before, if it's "two years in the army" it would just be cannon-fodder for Iraqiranistan or "helpers" for The United Police States of America. I think this says it all: |

Illinois, Wisconsin, California . . . they all have way too many > guns for Canadians (yes, California). We don't have any problem with guns, in the armed forces. I guess we could accomodate some special status to those new provinces, perhaps they could just give their guns to the Canadian army, they do need some lol I still find it interresting that all states bordering Ontario and Quebec are democrats. It surely does have some influance over some states. The corridor from Quebec city, Montreal, Ottawa, Windsor and Toronto counts for 80% of total Canadian populations. |

HAHAHA, Canadians don't have problems with guns. Do you think they don't hunt there? Hell, just watch "Bowling for Columbine." Now they may not care for "unsporting" weapons such as hand-guns and assault rifles, which the psychotic NRA loves... |

First off two years of mandatory service for everybody without exception (unless you're laying down dying- I'm flexible here) is something that everybody's got to do. Sounds like civil-service conscription. I like it! I'll take four years of the Peace Corp. over one year of National Guard reserve anyday! :-) I think this says it all: The US is always green and Canada is always red. Why are maps so insistent on that? I'm working on a similar thematic map... The corridor from Quebec city, Montreal, Ottawa, Windsor and Toronto counts for 80% of total Canadian populations. I didn't know that. |

It's 60% I was not so sure after I have posted it but I have checked and it is 60% It is still the great majority of Canadian living in the south east part of continental Canada. Precisely where where the US democrat states are located. There's got to be some relation somewhere. |

The only part of the conventions I watched was Governor Ah-nold at the RNC. |

Lest you forget the general views of this nation: Contributions (to the well-being of America) are not contributions unless they come from white, straight, god-fearing middle-class Protestants. Sad, isn't it... Stewie: So, is there any tread left on the tires? Or at this point would it be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway? Fox Sunday (US) at 9PM ET/PT |

They want you to remove his name from the map above, as he neither supported, nor advocated the use of his name or likeness in the aforementioned campaign. Alternatives you can use: "Backward Redneck-land" (they're not presently represented), "Gun-slinging Cowboy Imperialist Land", or "The Fundie States of America" Stewie: So, is there any tread left on the tires? The only "Bowl" in that movie worth anything was the one he was smoking, and he sold it to finance the production. Michael Moore is an entertainer, much like Jane Fonda or Rush Limbaugh. Any attention paid to what ANY of them say ought to be filtered through solid black glasses whose lenses are at least a foot thick. Stewie: So, is there any tread left on the tires?
