.... how many Cubs fans are there lurking around here?

In the US, Major League Baseball opening day 2010 is April 5.

The Cubs start the season in Atlanta playing the Braves.

Cubs Home Opener at Wrigley Field is 04/12, against the Milwaukee Brewers.

When they change the rules to allow base runners to carry their bats, I might get interested.

I enjoyed watching the Red Sox beat the Yankies a little earlier. :)

Mariners fan.

Well Mr. Walker, the way the Cubs played today, if they were in the NHL, I bet they couldn't find their ice with both hands and a flashlight.

It's been more than 100 years since the Cubs won the World Series...While the Cardinals have won more World Series championships than any other team in the National League...Only the Yankees of the American League have won more World Series' than the Cardinals.

That's why I never saw them win, in the first place.

May the best club win

Almost as bad, I'm a Detroit Lions fan. Wrong sport I know. But I've never known a championship in my lifetime and I probably never will

Then they'd be called the Leafs.

I remember lots of Leaf wins! But then I also remember when Louis St. Laurent was Prime Minister. 1948 to 1957, for our readers from away.

Not really a fan of any particular team, whether MLB, NBA, NCAA, NHL, NFL, etc., but not really "anti-sports", either. I do like going to watch the occasional game now and then, but only a live event, at the field itself; rarely on TV.
