Ricky Nelson had that problem. He even wrote a song about it.

Work units finally uploaded after three days. I cannot get any new work units however and the messages tell me to change my preferences to allow for more disk usage. When I check disk usage its barely at 50% of the capacity I allowed. There still appear to be gremlins in the system.

What does the "Preferences limit disk usage to" line in your Messages tab (or stdoutdae file) read?

The outrage sorted the crunched work upload problem. Now there is a 2waiting to report" problem (it wont because of scheduler request failed when receiving data from peer).

Please don't complain more, or Ned will slap you silly with the BOINC white papers. :-)

For this project, NEZ has Total credit 579,769,461

It takes the next 5 together to exceed that:

173,557,673
159,021,984
93,697,621
91,761,468
90,959,626
--------------
608,998,372

That can certainly be called historical fact if you want, but it is the record until some other account surpasses that total.

Evening All

At this point the UCB issues are/were identified and corrected... What I got was basically "runted packets." Some cases, the server response was delayed until after the Boinc Client gave up.

According to the Tech News we still do not have the final answers.

The other "good" side is that new fiber is being ran up the hill... If no one has ever seen what it takes to terminate/fireup Fiber and then plug in into the correct hardware... It is interesting to say the least. I would expect an outage for the transition as it happens. So that you have an idea of where the Seti Lab is ... Google Space Sciences Lab just zoom in. Lets just say it is a very steep narrow climb.

Validate Errors will still continue to Happen for a while. That was the DB Crash and other fallout. Resends's make it worse and hopefully all is returned before Tuesday Maintenance. The resend queue is at the bottom of the list which continues the problem.

As far as I know the proverbial "Fat Lady has not Sang YET!" For those that do not know the old cliche, It is not over until the fat lady sings.

Seti is still here...

I also am seeing that Users might have issues with downloads... It is hard to determine it that is Seti or UCB in the fallout.

For Users that have not gotten Dowloads, Please restart Boinc. Those with can be caught in Boinc has a corrupt TCP/IP Stack and will continue to fail until you restart Boinc (or your computer).

For others you are fighing the "Feeder" only puts 100 in the queue. Until all those monster cache's are filled Everyone is wating... You have a Ten day cache why?

At this point I will shift to Backup Projects (to keep CPU's and GPU's warm) so that You might get what you need. My RAC is already in the Toilet. Have Fun.

Regards, Good Night

Just kind of curious. I sent results back two days ago, and SETI has yet to send any more work. I can request an update, and get a response back, but have yet to receive any work units to process. Is there an issue somewhere that we don't know about, or what?

My BOINC can DL new work without probs.
After a few 'no jobs available' BOINC get new work.

Make a reboot of your PC/Laptop and look if you can request successful new work.
Press a few times 'Update' in the 'Projects' overview of your BOINC Manager.

Not sure what is up but from about 7:25 to 7:29 PM PST today the Seti@home website was giving me a blank page. SetiBeta responded just fine at that time so ... insert twilight zone theme

Finally got it to work. I had stopped BOINC, shut down my system, and still had no luck getting SETI to download. As there was nothing outstanding as far as work units, I did a reset project, then it apparently cleared up whatever was holding up the works, and downloaded the next set of work units. Thanks Papa for your help.
