I looked at the cricket graph and it looked really low to me (~30 for green, ~5 for blue) and thought "this is either really good, or possibly bad.." Went and looked at the server status page and saw that AP ran out of tapes. Ah. That explains it. :p Once AP runs out, and there is not a huge backlog of pending uploads, it looks like things should run very smoothly now with the double-length MBs and the fcgi tweaks in Apache. Good job indeed! Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

I wonder where all the AP's went? I have all the boxes ticked and ran the unified installer. I have only had about 3 since they came out. Someone sure will have a high RAC pretty quick. |

I changed over to a venue that has: MB: no ap: yes ap_v5: yes others?: yes This resulted in a lot of "nothing available for ap_v5, sending work from other applications" and that being MB. Did manage to get one ap_v505 out of ~40 work requests. I changed back to: MB: yes ap: yes ap_v5: yes others?: yes I just wanted to get one ap_v505 to see what my completion time is going to be. I changed over to a venue that has: I think I should setup my machine 5018628 in a venue like that, but perhaps not enable work for others. You might want to look at the task times on that machine too. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

I changed over to a venue that has: If you want AP V5.05 you have to set others to yes ap: yes This is original AP, probably none left by now, ap_v5: yes This is AP V5.03, others?: yes Required for AP V5.05, but will also enable MB.[/b] |

Not a panic, but wow.. nearly 400,000 in the MB ready to send queue.. Does that mean everyone has filled up their caches and the splitters are still going full bore? :p That's what the cricket graph would suggest. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

I have all boxes ticked and still have no had any 5.05's The best way to get 5.05's is to untick the MB box but leave the "other applications" box ticked. That way, it looks for anything other than MB first and sends you MB only if nothing else is available. It still means 5.05's come through only now and then but they do come through. F. |

Bit of a hiccup there- download traffic dropped away to next to nothing for about an hour or so, but it's come back up at full strength now. Also notice that for the last couple of days the newtork traffic has been rather bursty- periods of steady traffic & then it dies for a short while, then back up again. Grant Darwin NT |

I have all boxes ticked and still have no had any 5.05's If I understand the distribution, you've got about a 1 in 30 chance of getting an Astropulse work unit, unless you have an app_info.xml that simply eliminates all multibeam work. |

Everybody seems to be happy here but I still cannot upload my results from PCs at work. I took the results on my USB key home and it uploded immediately. This doesn't happen with other applications. They down- and upload nicely without any problem. |

In work so I assume you have some sort of firewall. Are you getting any connectivity through BOINC to SETI at all - has something changed on the configuration of your proxy server? or have you lost your proxy details. I suggest checking everything under your advanced/options menu. GPU Users Group |

It is funny. - As soon as SETI queue is empty I can download freely but I cannot upload results. This started some 14 days ago(?)or is it 3 weeks already? - This doesn't happen with other applications (Einstein, QMC, Cosmology). They run up and down without any problem. - Yes, we are behind firewall but noting has changed. This is supported by previous statement. |

Understand now - different apps but all within BOINC. There have been other discussions elsewhere about DNS caching problems causing problems connecting to SETI servers. Do your work machines ever get reloaded to clear/force load caches? Do you get any error messages when the connections fail? GPU Users Group |

I am starting to get http errors again before the wu uploads is there another small problem? I would guess it is just too much traffic right now. I haven't noticed any uploads hanging here, but I could have just missed them too. One of my boxes did take a couple of times before it was able to report. Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |

What can You see if You do typing http://setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/file_upload_handler as URL address into your browser? I see: <data_server_reply> <status>1</status> <message>no command</message> </data_server_reply> It looks like a normal answer, firewall and DNS are working correctly. |

Interesting... BorderManager says: Status : 500 Internal Server Error Description : Object Cache file creation error Have to check. Thanks anyway. To Questor: I probably don't understand your question. Major reason is that BOINC messages are in Czech so I cannot directly compare wording. After uploading results at home (status "uploaded") I bring results to work, I get status "confirmed" and I can download fresh units |

Something's broken. Getting lots of 31/07/2009 17:57:48 SETI@home Message from server: (Project has no jobs available) messages. Had a look at the network traffic, and there isn't any outbound worth mentioning. Grant Darwin NT |
