That looks exciting and may prove to be the way fusion power for electricity can work, rather than the other approach using torus sysyems. Have a good New Year. |

Good article....I wish them all success. Keep us posted if you read of any new developments when the experiment comes online in the spring.... "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." ![]() |

That question may have been asked when man first learned to create and harness fire. I often wonder though, is the reason we haven't encountered intelligence in the universe due to each civilization reaching a certain level of technological achievment and then obliterating themselves with that one experiment? |

How many times has someone in a lab had a flask pop for no apparent reason? "Hmmm I wonder why it did that" The tell tail mark on the ceiling that, no mater what, never washes off......... Its what all those `risk assesments` are for. before things get far to `interesting` The kind of "interesting times` that on Disk world can be the end on ones partisipitation in the future. And is what the `Darwin awards` are wanton to report upon. If there`s anyone left alive to read them............... And some of the thing`s I have done in day`s gone by have made my possetion of heavy gloves, ear defenders etc `usefull`....... :) |

.....'and thats why we are called humans' very nice new years present, how ever my my biggest interest is the ability for mankind to freely interconvert different elements, so we can use all the useless silicon (sand) and make usefull elements and no one is even addressing that problem. We choose to go to the moon and to do other things, we choose to go to the moon not because its easy but because its hard. kennedy |
