practically ended as the low pressure system responsible is dying
just southwest of Outaouais. A second low pressure system in
development over the east american seaboard will intensify while
moving toward the Gulf of St Lawrence. The snow, winds locally severe
feeding the blowing snow are expected over the regions more to the
east.

Valley and overnight over the regions of the gulf. The combination of
snow and strong winds will cause blowing snow, giving near zero
visibilities.

Accumulations of 15 to 20 cm are expected generally over these
regions. These accumulations could reach 25 cm locally in mountain
regions near the Maine and of the New Brunswick.

The curious thing around here is that around 11pm the air temp outside goes up by 2F and then starts to drop again, earlier It was 42F, Now It's 44F, go figure.

The ground, concrete, etc, absorbs solar heat during the day which it dumps into the air when darkness falls, bumping the temperature up a couple degrees.

As soon as that is done (usually no more than an hour or two) the temperature drops.

Yeah 30% chance of rain on the weather report for today, Plus 30% each for Wednesday and Thursday too, No snow of course, so far. As long as Friday is dry so that My used green recliner can be delivered, I'm not too concerned.

It's supposed to start snowing tonight, continuing thru Tuesday, then take a break and start again. Looks like a white Christmas is pretty much guaranteed. But hopefully not too white.
