We made it through the night. One of the windiest nights I have experienced. Spent half the night laying in bed listening to everything crashing around outside. We lost power for an hour or so, but it's back on and all the machines restored, yay! We have high tide to contend with yet, that's in an hours time and apparently the Sea will breach the defences, but the Council are on the front with sandbags and flood barriers. The tail of the system is due through by lunchtime so another lot of strong winds to come, but I think we'll fair ok as we got through the night without any damage. Oh, the highest winds in the night were 84MPH, but the pre-lunch affair is expected to be slightly stronger. Now, where is that much needed coffee?! ID: 724077 ·

I've just come in from the garden & i'm soaked through. Went out to clear up some of the debris, but found damage to my roof when I was out there and it looks costly to fix.
