Do you reckon the masons got their name as a secret society from being great stone builders ? OK I'll come clean I'm here to tout my idea again that the megalithic stone map kmz superimposed on google sky on mac os x 10.4.11 gives some very interesting ideas as to where we might find ET. I am donating this idea voluntarily for the benefit of the program. when you take the overall shapes of the standing stones and monuments away from the earth itself and superimpose them on the sky - there are some very interesting images , including a 'new constellation' that looks like a griffin.

i might be able to afford to give to SETI this month at a pinch , January is a right headache isn't it.

EDIT: And my green star is back again. :-D

I've been a member of SETI for years, but strayed away when I moved home a couple of years ago. I was watching a program on TV the other evening about the search for alien life when I had one of those "must rejoin SETI" thoughts, so here I am. I have managed to re-instate my old account, have got 2 laptops running BOINC with 100% resource to SETI 24/7 and have just made my first monetary donation to SETI of $25. I'll chuck more in the pot when I can afford it :)

If I win the Lottery (the big one!) then I'll make sure the SETI project does OK ;)

Andy et al

Thank You Everyone, for what you have been able to do thus far.

$120556.02 has been raised so far. That is a little over 25% of the goal. We are running a bit behind last years fund drive.
I know many want to see some "results" of what results we "all" have returned. Part of the budget as was stated last year was, to have enough money to purchase the machine that will start NITPCKR. I know it is the "Catch 22" some will not contribute until the see results and money is need to purchase the machine to get the results.

Anyone have a machine with at least 8 total cores, 32 gig of RAM and about a terabyte of storage sitting around that could be put to good use? If So Please PM Myself, Blurf so we can help to break the "Catch 22."

Regards

Al

And another donation flew it's way to the crew over there.

I see there have been some other generous people who have donated.

Thank you very much. :-)

A few months ago I tried to automatically donate to Seti via
my bankaccount, Needless to say - the attempt failed.
On the other hand, it`s not such a great deal - I learned that
donating via credit card is easy, safe, and done in a minute. So since
March 2008 I use my credit card monthly, and I hope it helps the cause !

Regards
Kurt

Thank You, for the Support.

I wish that you have let me know, Matt went to talk with the UCB Donations office about various issues. Over the last three months, I have let Matt know that the Donations Script was broken, each time it was something that had changed on the UCB end.
