About wasabi..I had a G/F once who snored, mouth open, a fair bit. One night after some Sushi take-home, I popped a tiny piece of wasabi into her mouth while she was exhaling.

Talk about a wakeup! LOL

I'm not really into sigs much, Sarge, but thanks for the idea anyways. :)

The word
wasabi
was taken for a commercial as a slang version of "What's up?"

And as a pun, that's exactly the way I use it. :)

Try putting a teaspoon of that into your mouth and ask "what's up!"

I eat Chinese; I only had Japanese once. The saki was disappointing.

I had Wasabi for the first time last week..and yes..I put a fair amount in my mouth before I realised my mistake.

@Es: It's funny but nearly everyone makes that mistake with wasabi, the first time around. It looks so harmless. I did it, too. LOL

Wasabi is good in moderation, just like a good strong horseradish.

I actually like wasabi better. It's slightly sweet and doesn't have that cheap vinegar taste. Of course you could buy the original white and shred it, but it's hard to come by.

So, wazzitgonabe? wasabi :)

Thanks, Robby. I looked around for some fresh horseradish for the kippers, but came up short. It's very hard to find in Canada, except for the large cities.

I liked the triangular plates, something a little different for Sunday. :)
