Winning while sick @ home.

...beaver fever?!

I wish!
Sinus infection, it's like a head full of cement.
(don't bother with the joke, it's too easy even for you)

...don't be so sure.

Tramping in expectantly, as another 3 1/2 hour will will hike me in Richard's stats report.

Good ... wonning agon as a hoppoy comper!

The UK broadband speeds have been atrocious this morning. Nearly unusable. From Chris's comments this looks to be network wide, as he is at least 150 odd miles from me! But things seem to be running OK now.

And you with slushy heavy concrete in your head. It's a wonder you can type, with your sneezes and blurred vision?

The slow down affected more than the S@H sites, it seemed to be very wide and covered all web sites I tried. Clearly the S@H URLs were affected for their own reasons!

I had a tremendous problem getting out anywhere from my village, and Chris, in Essex, looks to be confirming this.

I originally put the slowdown to some P2P activity on my local exchange, where the DSLAM has a given bandwidth. I assumed, originally, someone near the exchange and with a high speed link was hogging the available bandwidth and causing lower speed for the users a long way from the exchange. But I may have been wrong, and the issue was wider than our exchange.

Yeah, right, your boxes cards might...but I somehow don't think your ISP is giving you that kind of bandwidth without a direct fiberoptic hookup...

...and on your budget. Pleeeease...
