I did hear some romour that the US had engineered things to destroy the twin towers, etc.

However, that seems ridiculous, even with Bushes propensity to have an itchy trigger finger.

I am sure no (so called) democratic country would engineer such a disaster for other purposes!

Well, me too I think. Its a 60mb download and over an hour long. It made two whole pages in the UK Daily Mail today, where they are apparently suggesting there is "something" in it. Its been out since last autumn so I wondered if any posters had seen it and what the reaction was elsewhere in the world.

I have watched a 911 video that had some very convincing evidence about it all being an inside job...I don't know if that is like the one you have posted.

To be quite honest Richard, I'd never heard of loose change before I read about it in the newspapers today. It is a tad worrying that a "fairly" well respected UK tabloid would run a two page article about it, if it was absolutely total rubbish. What with the weather and all they've currently got plenty of copy.

I'm afraid that I wasn't convinced with the claim that Bin Laden has just bows and arrows and couldn't possibly attack America.

I have my own conspiracy theory; The USA are actually trying to fight terrorism, and not cause it.

Hi Chris,

I occasionally buy a magazine called "Skeptic", it is put out by some very educated people that want to know the truth about all sorts of topics. The current issue has a cover story on this conspiracy theory and the people behind it. Here's a link to their website. Skeptic.com Makes for some very interesting reading and they do try to be open minded about the topics they research. I haven't looked to see if the whole article is listed on the website but let me know and I can scan and post exerpts here.

I remember a discussioin thread about a very similar 911 conspiracy. It ended up with massive holes poked in the conspiracy theory.

The last thread that I remember that contained discussions about this subject ( besides the Myths thread where it occasionally comes up ) wound up being a whole lot of arguing about the burning properties of jet fuel.

Perhaps I should get my teammate Brian in on that discussion ...lol

I remember a discussioin thread about a very similar 911 conspiracy. It ended up with massive holes poked in the conspiracy theory.

I remember that thread as well. There were discussions about the burning properties of jet fuel, what various jet engines looked like, how far an airplane would travel in one second, whether the wings of an airliner would break through a brick wall... I also did not remember any evidence of a conspiracy that was not better explained by the mainline explanation - that the US was attacked by terrorists.

I remember that thread as well. There were discussions about the burning properties of jet fuel, what various jet engines looked like, how far an airplane would travel in one second, whether the wings of an airliner would break through a brick wall... I also did not remember any evidence of a conspiracy that was not better explained by the mainline explanation - that the US was attacked by terrorists.

I saw one video that proposed that it wasn't jet fuel that was burned, but thermite. They decided this because of the extreme heat needed to have liquid metal flowing out from the building and because of the colour of some of this metal. Thermite is used in the demolition of buildings and many people have commented that the fall of the twin towers looked remarkably like a demolition job..especially the collapse of building 7.

I suspect that is why the discussion turned into one about whether jet fuel could burn at sufficiently high temperatures to melt steel.

There was other evidence suggested as well, such as the closure of the WTC a few days before 9/11 for unknown repair work.

If people really are interested in finding out what the conspiracy theorists are saying, then start with the collapse of WTC7.

I believe it was Enigma who brought up Building 7 in that old thread. That particualr collapse is a major sticking point for the conspiracy theory folks. It simply doesn't appear to be a normal collapse.

I really don't believe that, even if given ALL of the answers and evidence of what happened on 9/11, people would stop with the conspiracy theories.

I mean, look at some of the photos that people have questions about. One of them showed what " appeared " to be some kind of flying dinosaur for crying out loud.

I believe most of what we have been told. There are a few questions that I would like to see answered a bit more clearly, but I doubt they ever will be.

Do I think the US Government masterminded the WTC attack?? Absolutely not.

Do I think we are being told everything?? Absolutely not.

Will we ever BE told everything?? Nope.

The government's use of secrecy due to " national security " concerns, will continue to cause insecurity among some of the country's people.

Does it say that the demolition company belonged to George W Bush's brother who spirited away all the evidence, and that the whole of the demolition company and all it's employees, associates, families, fiends, casual acquaintances and all their old school friends and ex-partners, including people they met just briefly on trains, were sworn to secrecy and would never tell you that they purposefully demolished the towers full of people on a busy work day and intentionally killed them, and all those who died in trying to rescue them?

It's just kinda hard to read it, being so small, so I just wondered...

Really its just pointless speculating about anything like this, when we know for sure that we'll never get to see or hear the full evidence, on which to base an opinion.

I can tell you one thing absolutely...an airplane hit the Pentagon that day! I was there pulling those damn seats and bodies out, shoring up the building, and trying to keep the people out until it was safe to go in and get their friends and co-workers! Some people would like you to believe it was a cruise missle, cruise missles do not have airplane seats with people in them. Well 'people' might be an overstatement of the facts. 'People parts' might be a better statement! NOT fun at all! Just one of many not so fun days at work.

Now here is something I find interesting....

In all the different threads where this subject has been brought up, be it here, in the Myths thread, wherever else on these forums, I don't recall you ever telling us that you were actually at the Pentagon helping get people out of there, Mikey.

Up until now, very few ( if any ) of us actually knew anyone who had been there to see the damage and the pieces of the plane itself.

Of course, that's just my personal opinion based on observing the various posts. There may be a whole lot of people who knew someone that was there but simply chose not to talk about it.
