I earned my right as a combat veteran, what did you do for your country?
Or is banning political desent part of the new agenda?

It has come to the point that even making this statement can be cause for moding or banning.

Not sure who your speaking to here, the mods or to Misfit...but in case you are talking to me, I'll bite.

If you going to post something that might be considered controversial or offensive to some (such as other vets as yourself) you should expect some push back from it.

So, what exactly would you like me to do?

I was quoting Misfit and no one else. He has no right to use an offical government seal with which he has no association.

He has every right to use it. It's one of the freedoms that you went into combat to defend.

The American Flag in the upside down position is a sign of distress and I fly it for my friend Captain Avatar and Seti.

Section 8a of the United States Flag Code states, "The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property."

Is your life or property in extreme danger? Using your vet status to make a cheesy political statement against 'forum banning' mocks the men and women who serve(d) this country.

If you hate it here so much why don't you just leave and never look back. Oh right, you've tried that before.

I love my country...it is you who should leave.

No need to Michael. I wasn't addressing you. Although it doesn't surprise me that the best insult Dennis could come up with was his typical vet vs. civilian remark.

Oh good comeback. You couldn't even get the context right. You were speaking about the conditions of the forum and moderation. To which I said leave.. as in this project. But hey, if you want to leave this country go right ahead. You wouldn't be the first, and probably not the last.

I never served myself because of a physical problem, but my Dad was a SeeBee. He was in Korea. I have, on several occasions, talked to him about his time there.

Michael, I salute you for your full service. I volunteered after being drafted and wounds cut the remainer of my service short. I still suffer the effects to this day, but never regret my decision. It gave me something that I took with me for the rest of my life.

Since I've had an acct here I've always changed my avatar and pic to draw attn to and show respect for the holiday and the people it's dedicated too. What I use came out of the free domain (in this case Google's Images). What you won't see is me taking a seal or symbol and modifying it to represent something else.

I believe that anyone taking the seal of a unit or organisation to which he does not belong is a mountebank at very least. It demeans the very people who have a right to it.
If you were a Vet, then I believe you have every right in the book to use the seal.
If you were not a Vet, then you have no right to it ... even if you try to clothe your reason with some thinly manufactured gobbledegook about displaying it in support of the Vets.
You display it as your Avatar. That is an attempt to identify yourself with Veterans. You were not a Vet.
Perhaps it would been better therefore, had you displayed it in the body of your message ... thereby not giving the impression that you were something that by your own admission you were not.
