Message 538332 - Posted: 29 Mar 2007, 15:28:09 UTC - in response to Message 538298.

Been slowly working on something for that. Just not alot of time.

Plus I just found out today I have BPPV. Been dealing with this for about 5 years now and they have finally found out what my problem has been. Only downer, not real easy to fix. LOL Figures. Story of my life.

Have a good one

Rick

What the heck is BPPV??
{snip}
Just take care of yourself, my friend. :-)

For the lazy Mr. Knightnmare - BPPV

Buga, I hope you don't have to climb ladders or work on scaffolding much. Hopefully they can find a treatment that works for you. Good luck.

Hmmm...if he had said vertigo, I would have known...lol

My sister-in-law has that.

Hope they can find a way to help you, Buga. She's having a rough go trying to deal with it.

But Vertigo is a movie. That would have confused the rest of us.

And you know spelling isn't Buga's forte. It would have come out as "vortical" or something like that.

LMAO @ Labbie. You all know me so well.

It does suck. Hadn't had a problem in about 9 months. Thought maybe it was gone. I went for 2 years to so many doctors. This one sending me to that one. Nobody could find anything. Last week though was out doing the spring cleaning (tree trimming, leaves, etc.) Went to close up a bag of leaves and over I went. Was out for 15 seconds or so. Thats what my oldest said (kids where on spring break) She has seen it happen to me before and knew what was happening. All out of the blue. I was feeling the best I had in 5 years. Thought it was gone. But we now have a new Doc. and she figured it out in like 5 min. It definatley drains ya. Haven't gone "vortical" (lol) since last week unless I lay down on my right side. But being drained and the constant dizziness sucks. First time (5 years ago) it took about 5 to 6 weeks before I was able to drive. Most time 2 to 3 weeks seems to do it. Doc said it does take a bit to get back to somewhat normall. Brain has to relearn your balance after the "rock" moves. Here is another site that the doc gave me. A bit more info than the WebMD one. BPPV
Gonna start the office treatments next week I think. First time for me at the new doc so she wants to get all my crud from all the others first.

Thanxs for the good wishes.

Rick

So Buga.....

I told ya that my sister-in-law suffers from Vertigo. I was talking to her about it today, and she said that if you take care of yourself, and do what the docs tell you, you should be able to deal with it pretty well.

She is relatively normal. Well...as normal as she can be having married my brother....lol

Hopefully, the docs can find an effective treatment for you.

If not....well...we are kinda used to you being a bit dizzy anyway....lmao

We're pulling for you, man. :-)

I'll stay there until Whit3Fir3 notices it and has a chance to get himself back in play.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Or are you refering to yourself coming after me? You have that new machine yet? Because I won't be able to compete with that one.

Customs stole, I mean hi-jacked, I mean illegally borrowed, I mean detained the custom case that Myron built. His attorney is working on it, (along with some suggestions that I made for him to pass along to his attorney), and the latest news is that the attorney has all paperwork filed to release the case back to Myron.

In the meantime, (because customs could drag this out for a long time before complying and releasing the case), Myron is now building a new case. Also confiscated, (because they were stored in the case), were the 1000 Watt PSU, the Kingston Server Memory, the Sound Card that is MS Server 2003 X64 and Win XP Pro X64 compatible, case fans, etc. All of these now need to be replaced by Myron while customs plays around with "when" they will be releasing the first case. LOL <stupid>

Oh, and, (to add insult to injury), the Woodcrest 5160 made it to California; but the shipper delivered it to a wrong address. Not only that, but they didn't ask the "signing party" for any ID. So, someone here in California forged my name to the shipment and is in the possession of now "stolen" merchandise. Myron is obtaining a replacement CPU via "Shipping Insurance Claim" to reship to me. (Where in California the first one went is beyond me... I hope they put a trace on it and get it back from the forger; however, we probably will never see that CPU...) <more stupidity> The replacement CPU should be here sometime next week.

On the bright side, Cara and I got our taxes done today. LOL

I do hope you have some good news there with your taxes anyway. lol
The pangs of getting a new business going are almost insurmountable but stick at it you two. I know Myron and probably you also have some experience in that area and being in Calif. can't make it any easier let alone being international at the outset.

Nope; the Tax thing was a sarcastic addition to the already salty experiences happening... Due to "insufficient withholdings" from Cara's W-4, (which carried over to the W-2), we only got $149 back from Federal, but OWE the State $111. Then add in the e-Filing fees, and the cost of TurboTax, and we actually are negative by approximately $35.00. It could have been far worse... Our initial calculations, (done manually), had us believing that we would owe the State $257; however, TurboTax found some deductions for us that both H&R Block and I missed. So, now we only owe the State $111, and again with the bottom line that we are overall negative by the cost of TurboTax, (after all of the Federal Refund is applied to all Tax Debts), in the amount of about $35.00.

As for the business; I am still quite happy to be working with Myron, and am eager to help him any way I can. Unfortunately; things like incorrect shipping, and crusty customs personnel are beyond my control. Things will work out for us; I have faith in that.

Sincerely,

Dude, it could have been alot worse, I doubled my gross in overtime last year and I basically pay income tax twice for any winnings I have made gambling, first to earn it then on the win. I will of course be scalling back on both for the forseeable future which will hurt as well. There really is no way to painlessly make money leagally.

Too bad Myron isn't a bit closer to Michigan. If he was in Windsor or Sarnia, I could just drive there and pick the stuff up. I don't need a passport to travel into Canada since I live in Michigan, and bringing stuff across the border( such as computer cases and other equipment ) would be a whole lot easier in person. Easier to let customs know exactly what the stuff is that way.

I sent some cds to India 2 years ago, and they STILL haven't actually made it to the person I was sending them to. I definitely know how it goes...lol

Even if you tried that, (and thanks for the thought), then you'd end up paying the Custom's charges on all of the computer stuff you'd bring back. (That's worse than California State Sales Tax... LOL) Plus, they confiscated the case because of a dispute on one of the skins... They'd have done the same to you, too... In this particular instance; they claim that the Croc Skin's tag number comes up as Alligator, not Croc... (...and that is a crock! Sorry couldn't resist the pun.) So, instead of doing some actual investigation and calling to the Certificate Issuers that authenticate the skin as Croc; they confiscated the case and everything in it. Now Myron's attorney has to go through all the legal hoops to prove to customs that the skin is Croc, and the case is everything that Myron claims it to be, then the case will be able to be released to Myron. Oh, and while all of this goes on; because of the dispute by customs, Myron is not allowed to cross into the U.S. LOL <Totally INSANE!>
