Is it just me, or has the order of the forums changed (again)? SETI Science once was first on the list, but IIRC the regulars there objected to being first and catcing all the first-time visitors, so Number Crunching got moved to first place. As I see it now, we're back to (1) Science, (2) Number Crunching. Perhaps this is Berkeley emphasizing that Science comes before Credit??? ;) ![]() |

Why would people start flaming? /Mav ![]() We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars. (Carl Sagan) |

Matt said that he was cleaning up the message boards, this is likely part of that process. When Science got moved down, we were in the throes of the shut-down of SETI-Classic, so had a lot of new (and distruntled) BOINC users. That's done, so the pounding of Science should be a thing of the past, even being at the top of the list. Give the Science its due and put it first. MJ ![]() |

I'm beginning to think maybe the Cafe should have been left off the list altogether. |

Why would people start flaming? So says the non-cruncher. me@rescam.org |

So says the non-cruncher. Well, if crunching exclusively for SETI Beta right now means that I am no longer considered a part of SETI@home or permitted to post here, then I guess I must have missed a memo somewhere. I was under the impression that I was crunching the same work, contributing to the same master science database, as well as helping to test new applications that will be used here. But... you must be correct. My humblest apologies to all. |

Forums index changed again to NC, Science, Cafe, Recruitment. Maybe it changes every other day now just to confuse us. :) |

Forums index changed again to NC, Science, Cafe, Recruitment. Maybe it should be displayed in a random order, just as the four Cross-project statistics links on each one's account page. Just to let people think carefully where they want to post to. Peter |
