I read it and I responded to it in this post.

One of the articles decribed the bulldozing of a house with a family inside. Another with a man in a wheelchair inside. Another describes what happened to Rachel Corrie.

Bulldozing homes, regardless if people are inside or not, is stupid, provacative and bullyish.

I have no idea why the Israelis have gotten away with what they have done to them.

It angers me.

EDIT: And if families are inside...it is murder.

And paying the families of terrorists (suicide bombers) is also stupid and provocative. I have no idea why the Palestineans think that they can get away with this as well. There are two sides to this issue.

Glad to hear that.

In my opinion, both sides in Palestine / Israel are wrong most of the time. Now if only we can get them all to agree to stop fighting - but this is going to be a difficult task as they have been fighting there for a few thousand years.

I don't know if you have heard of the play that was put on here in London called "My Name is Rachel Corrie". This is a true story taken from her diaries about an American peace activist who was killed by a bulldozer destroying a home in Gaza. The play was supposed to have been put on in New York but then withdrawn as 'too sensitive'. I am telling you this without trying to score any points, but thought you might be interested.

St. Pancake should not have played "chicken" with an armoured Caterpillar D9 bulldozer driven by the IDF. The driver can't see, they don't stop so well, and mistakes are lethal... as Ms. Corrie found out.

Ms. Corrie may have been a "peace activist" in the most general of senses, but frankly she was more than willing to use force to get her idelogy across. Which makes her no different than the IDF or Dubya. The difference being that they, of course, are not stupid enough to sit down in front of over 100 tons of armored vehicle.

Even al-Zarqawi was smart enough to avoid one of the slowest-moving vehicles on earth.

Dogbytes, do we know who else was in Zarqawi's house when it was bombed?

IIRC five people expired, including a little girl. Don't quote me though.

OOOH! Mr. Serious "I'm NOT laughing...." is at it again. Does NOT laugh, puts you on his FAMOUS ignore list (more honored in the breach than in the observance).

I think you should discuss the death of al-Zarqawi very SERIOUSLY with Mr. Siran (TM omitted) or Heaven Forbid! ...you'll find yourself on his ignore list. <shudder> <shudder>

Muahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

I see you're displaying your ignorance once again. What makes you think I'm putting Brooke, you, or anyone else on ignore? I can't have fun if I do that. Yes, I said fun.... (-:<

"Deceased"? Just what in the universe are you babbling about? Can you tell me the person in that pic? Judging by your comment, I doubt it.... \\-:<

Of course your worldview isn't tainted by your religious conversion is it?

The Irish Republican Army? That's a different horse altogether isn't it?
Firebombing of Tokyo is best justified by the fact that there was no way that the US was to allow that war to continue any further....that entire nation was on its way to self destruction. They had murdered/raped their way throughout Korea and China....the poor people of the Phillipines had been massacred over and over. The cities of Japan proper were nothing but a war machine...churning out weaponry.

As far as the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs...

When the president was deciding whether or not to use this weapon he was in doubt and when he was informed that it would cost 1 MILLION DEAD AMERICANS to do otherwise....to invade Japan, he was told "sir, if you don't use this weapon what will you say at your impeachment...."

I'm glad we've got those 1 million Americans....

I don't believe I'm about to say this, but, good comeback dude....

And their weren't in Germany...war is hell. Terrorists always make sure that no children will get hurt?

I am still not sure what point you are trying to make. Do you deny that Israel has been bulldozing Palestinian homes?

Tom wanted to know why America might be so hated, I gave examples.

My mother gave examples. The bulldozing of Palestinian homes is well documented and very real.

Yes, Israel bulldozes Palestian houses where they have been found to to harboring terrorists. The family gets to live on the rubble instead of prison. However, they shoot back at terrorists, and if the terrorists use civilians as shields, oh well, again that's the war of terrorist cowards. Remember, Israel is fighting for its' life against great odds which are 100:1, they don't have the luxury of armchair quarterbacking.

Tell me why you have been shown that footage again and again, yet you are not aware of all the peace rallies, prayer services, denunciations of terrorism and murder by thousands of other Muslims? Tell me why your media is so keen for you to hate Muslims?

That is the easiest question to answer this century.
The reason for the media bias in America against the Arabs is (surprise, surprise!!!):-
The media in America is owned or controlled by Jewish interests ....
Well well well ..... whoo'da thought it!!!
My tin hat is back on and I am once again invincible ...

That's a load of clap trap if there ever was.
That BS has been around for ages and is a standard total falsehood as old as anti-semitism.

Now now DB ... let's not get using words like "claptrap"
Let's just look at the facts:
I can go on all day like this if you want ... but let's look at CNN (There are hundreds of others)
Oh, one Jew makes the whole media Jewish owned...here in America an Australian reactionary named Murdoch owes a good portion of the media.
Who owns CNN, DB?
Does the name Gerald Levin mean anything to you?
Is he a Gentile by any chance?
Or Laurence Tisch over at CBS?
As I said I could go on an on ... but there would be no use ...
;-)))

A few Jews in high media positions does not mean the American, or any other media is Jewish controlled. AS a matter of fact, an Australian right winger named Murdoch owns a big chunk of the media here. Oh, Oh, Christian biased media!

Let's drop this silly spat from several days ago. It's old news. That post that you were replying to was from before the recent rule changes and from before your cordial visit at Beethoven's III yesterday. It was a different atmosphere on the forums altogether.

So...appologies to you for the silliness of that post.

It's water under the bridge, ancient history, ...as far as I'm concerned, anyways.

Peace!
