How you think we are doing with the donations?

I HOPE and PRAY that we get enough donations to keep them from shutting down the project.

I would love to donate but my meds and treatments take all my money and more. Last month the docs told me my remission is over and I'm back fighting the big C again. Gonna have to shut down my crunchers pretty soon too I think. Though my best buddy says he'll subsidize me in those and some other bills for a while. I'll continue to contribute to the effort by helping folks as best I can when they have questions.

Oh Jim, I'm so sorry to hear that. This is really bad news. Having lost my father and some others to cancer I know what you're talking about. I wish you well. :-)

And it's Ok, and nobody should donate money, if they can't afford it, contributing the way you do with your computer and your nice posts here, is so appreciated. At least I appreciate it. :-)

We all need to do what we can do, and this is one example of why we all need to keep our priorities straight.

Jim, I wish you all the best in your fight. That's your #1 goal.

SETI doesn't need 100% participation to meet their funding goals, they need less than 10% at $20.

oh Jim I'm sorry to hear this , I would like to , Echo ..... Fuzzy's sentiments ,

Jim I hope , you don't mind this poem and I hope it's OK ?

Dylan Thomas’

“Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night”

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night

and Jim ...... that Rage will keep you going

Thank you Ned, Fuzzy, Byron. Eyes a little moist - very sentimental these days. The thoughts from all and the poem too (a favorite this past year) bring a lump to my throat. Support is important - thought I'd beat the damned cursed thing. Friggin' pissed off is what I am - meds make me stupid - hard to write - don't want to hijack th thread - bless you all truly.

You truly are one of the good guys, Byron.
(written by a friend at Jim's request - he's here next to me but a little "dopey") He's very concerned about "hijacking" this thread - I told him to shut up if folks want to say nice things - he grumbles as I type this - he's a proud man.

I can say for sure the thread is not hijacked. Taking care of family and yourself is number one job. You ARE contributing here by crunching work units.

Ok Catchy title for a thread, and enjoyed the reading, but had nothing to add until I read:

Ok.....the rules for this thread require that anyone who posts here must have made a donation to Boinc/Seti. Darth Vador, you are in violation and must make a donation. Everyone here must have a star next to their name.

At which point I realized that I need post here just to assert my right to post in whatever thread I like with or without a frigging green blot.

It has been stated in other threads that they can not afford to help... Some can and some can not... Please do not worry...

I can only send my Best Wishes, and wish that Peace, and the Most Comfort and less pain be with You at this point in time.

Jim, I asked you earlier to mail me. I'll give you a star, if you'll accept it and allow me to do. :-)

But I need your mailadress to be able to.

So, again, if you'll accept it, please mail me on fuzzy . hollynoodles at gmail . com.

And no, you're not hijacking anything, this is our trademark here, we care. So when you tell us about your situation, we care.

Everything looks pretty on Milla, even a little 10$ green star. :-P

I'm sure she's used to way more expensive jewels though! ;-)
