Great news tekwyzrd. Just one small point, I believe that uFluids is still considered to be an alpha project. It is still far from being ready for mass use because there are no checkpoints yet. Plus many other things.

Thanks. I've moved it to the alpha category.

I've decided to organize the projects as follows:

Alpha Projects:

BURP
Chess960@Home
LHC@Home Alpha
Orbit@Home
PrimeGrid
QMC@Home
RALPH@Home

Beta Projects:

MalariaControl
SETI Beta
Lattice Project

Release Version Projects:

ClimatePrediction
Einstein@Home
HashClash
Leiden Classical
Pirates@Home
Predictor@Home
Rosetta@Home
Seasonal Attribution
SETI@Home
SIMAP@Home
SZTAKI Desktop Grid
TANPAKU
uFluids@Home
XtremLab

If anyone knows of a project I missed please make a note of it in this thread.

I know World Community Grid isn't listed. They seem to use an organizational scheme that's different than the other BOINC projects. I haven't figured out how to get user stats so for now it's being excluded.

Edit: I've removed the BBC Climat Change project from the list due to the fact I haven't been able to find a user stats page. If I can find my way to a user's stats I'll add it to the list again.

Hey tekwyzrd, I have all the projects on my website organized by: pre-alpha [6], alpha [6], beta [2], production [11] and testing [2]. The numbers represent the number of projects in each category, 27 total. That should give you a good idea of the BOINC projects.

I would also like to know if I should lose the download of your BOINC stats extension from my site. The date is 02/08/06. I do know that you have a link to my site on Mozilla, I found it through my awstats stats. Your Mozilla extension would be the "official" version for download. Let me know, ok? (-:<

I used your site as a cross-reference list to see if any projects were missing from my bookmarks. I left off some of the pre-alpha projects that are inactive or seem like they'll take quite some time before they reach alpha status. I put the others in the Alpha category. BURP was alpha, but went back to pre-alpha, and seems like it'll go alpha again. HashClash is open for account creation with no sign of a stopping point so I've included it in the Final Version Projects list.

Excluded for now are Lattice (down for upgrades) and WCG (due to non-standard layout and inability to access user stats) That means 25 projects are included. This seems like a good starting point.

Yeah, you can remove the link on your site. Based on the date I'd think that was v0.1.1. There were two that followed it in the 0.1.* series. I'll post a link for v0.2.1 here for testing prior to releasing to mozilla. There's still a couple minor things I want to change and one major item to add. I'm hoping to have it ready some time tomorrow.

I still have to implement the BOINC User Total entry. That's going to take a bit of work due to the fact that everything's set up to accept integer values and the cpuid is a 32 charectar alphanumeric string.

Ok, I'll disable that ancient download. And, I just had another idea, I can link to you Mozilla page for users to download direct from you. After your release, post the link and I'll update my page. I'm starting to get more cool ideas about my page as well. Thanks.... (-:<

Oh, Firefox just went to v1.5.0.3. I'll get your extension when you release it.... (-:<

Status Update:

I have the BOINC User Total working. I have it set up to get the info from http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/ . Unfortunately there's no style information associated with the xml data so it displays a document tree when you click on the stats when BOINC User total is displayed. The BOINC User Total is displayed when Firefox starts. I still have a few minor things to deal with before I upload it to sourceforge and post the link.

BOINC Stats v0.2.0rc is ready for download and testing. It is currently propagating to the sourceforge mirrors.

The major changes include:

Addition of BOINC User Total as default data displayed.
Tabbed preferences layout.
Addition of numerous projects.

Please make a note of any suggestions or problems observed in this thread.

Thanks tekwyzrd. Install went without a hitch. Don't know if it is required but I uninstalled the previous version since there have been so many changes to the xpi. Then installed the new one. For other users it would be nice info to know if we can just update or do we need to do like I did? It still remembers the projects even when doing uninstall then install so no need to re-enter the info.
:)

Edit: I Almost missed something. Just noticed that to get the boinc totals you need to enter the CPID or it still shows the first project in the list when starting firefox.

Glad to see there's no problems so far.

I didn't think to add this when I posted the link to the file.
Blame it on the time of day and need for sleep.

If you are running a previous version of this extension the latest version will install as an update. If you uninstall it will retain the user's project account numbers and cross-project ID unless you uncheck all of the projects for which it is set up to display data for.

Thanks tekwyzard,

It works great for me, I especially like having the BOINC User Total as the default setting, great job.

Would it be possible to do something similar for Teams?

I can't make any promises due to the fact that the site I'm referencing doesn't seem to have team stats readily available but I'll try to figure out a way to get the data.
