No one is gone while memory remains. The miracle is how quickly the bad fades and leaves us with good. THE MOTHER OF FOOLS IS ALWAYS PREGNANT I'M TROLLING FOR FOOLS. THIS MUST BE THE PLACE! |

Fuzzy, here is my little poem on mom… The one person you could always count on was mom, But just remember she will never be gone. You had good times and bad times, and no one can take that away, Sharing and caring about the special things each and every day. The love and joy you share, even if you were apart, As long as you remember, she will always be with you in your heart. Mike IAS - Where Space Is Golden! |

Thank you all for your kind words and warm thoughts. My brother and I went today to see our mother for the last time. She was so beautiful. She looked like an angel. Her face was so serene and peacefull, without all the pains she had suffered for so long. I had bought some dark red roses, so I put a small bouquet in her hands, and spread the rest around her head and on her cover. And I had a good "talk" with her. I then went to see the preacher, to discuss her service, which will be held Friday 12.30 pm here from a small chapel, the same chapel, my fathers service was held January 18'th 10 years ago. She, the preacher, was very nice to speak with, so I spent 2 hours with her. We discussed, among others, the Book of Ecclesiastes, which I wanted her to take as her jumping-off point in her speach. I explained to her how I understand that Book from the Old Testament, and even she understood it differently (and more tradtionally), she understood my oppinion. I also told her which hymns, I want us to sing. So all in all a good, but very hard day. And I have only slept about 4 - 5 hours the past 48 hours (I took a sleeping pill Sunday night, else I wouldn't have got any sleep at all), so I'm pretty tired out now. So I hope you all understand, that I don't participate in the present discussions on the boards right now. Some things in my life have higher priorities. But I want to share with you here how beautiful my mother was. This photo was taken, when she was very early pregnant with me. And she was just as beautiful today. :-) Again, thank you all. I can feel the warmth and love from all of you. :-) "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Fuzzy, I think by now you know how we ALL feel! If not just think of the good times you had with her, those are the things we wish you the most, remembering the good times and letting the not so good ones fade away! And remember as some one else has already said, as long as you think of someone, they are never really gone! |

Thank you all for your warm thoughts and sympathy. Yes, it is indeed a hard time, only people, who have experienced the loss of a parents will fully understand how hard. We had the funeral service yesterday, and now there's only the legal matters left, plus the task of dismantling her (and my fathers) home with all the memories connected to it. So hopefully I soon can get some sleep again. Thanks again. :-) "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |
